Love it. Burrow did hit another gear in the last 7 games. I hope Jayden can do the same.

Daniels is proving so many people, myself included, wrong.... kinda like Burrow did with his jump from 2018 to 2019. You love to see it

Zero complaints with the change to a pass first offense

JD5 is on fire and hope he shows his talents @ Bama

Add 11.5 ypa for Jayden. Almost a full yard more than the next closest QB (Milroe/ McCarthy at 10.6 with waaay less attempts).

Again, that is NUTS.

When LSU beat Bama in 2019, I knew nothing was going to beat them the rest of the year. That entire team shifted into another gear, not just Joe Burrow.

I was there after Chase caught the touchdown. I knew we would smack down Bama and the year was ours. It was the moment when I knew we had the better team.

You should list how many quarters each played through those 8 games. I recall we pulled Joe in a few games.

he played into the second half of every game. JD is the only one not to play in the second half.

Also JB has more attempts.

Only two parts in the game that made me nervous was the second half when Burrow got sacked and fumbled when we were driving to start the second half, and when Burrow missed Chase on a corner route for a touchdown. Thought that might come back to hurt us but Burrow and the offense responded with two straight touchdowns to seal the game because they were too good to hold down the entire second half.

Jayden only played half the game against Grambling and Army. Burrow played until the end of the 3rd quarter in the NW St game, came out after our first drive in the 3rd quarter of the Ga St game, came out after the 3rd quarter in the Vandy game, and came out after the 3rd quarter in the Utah St game. Jayden has missed a game's worth of action, and Burrow had missed about a game and half a quarter of game action. It's basically a wash.

If the defense didn’t blow it against Ole Miss he’d be the odds on favorite right now. It’s whatever though. The heisman is won in November.

It’s going to be a long two weeks. We’re going to see this thread at least a dozen more times until then

If you are just comparing the first 8 games for each, Daniel, individually, has been every bit as impressive as Burrow was in those games when one factors in Daniels's 500+ yards rushing

Unfortunately for Daniels, his season thus far is viewed in comparison with Burrow's entire 2019 season. One where he went from having a great season through the first 8 games to an absolutely historic season with his performance in the final 7 games.

If Daniels can put up another 500+ yards of offense at Alabama (like Burrow did in 2019) he will be in the pole position to be LSU's 3 Heisman trophy winner.

If you have a season that ends up second only to arguably the best season any QB has had in college football history I'd say you did a pretty good job.

It was honestly the CFP that took his Heisman trophy season to historic levels when he produced 1035 yards and 14 TDs over those two playoff games.
