What he has done at A&M has no bearing on if he would've been a good hire for LSU back then, because we're not A&M. This is just prisoner of the moment crap.
bullshite. Les did better at LSU than Jimbo did at FSU, and winning at FSU is easier.

Jimbo Fisher has done nothing to prove that he’s better than Les Miles, and anyone who thought it was a good idea to pay $16million to replace Miles with Fisher is a goddamn idiot.

No. I’m not sure why you’re asking this.

If he wants to crow, do it honestly. What he is doing though is twisting history to elevate his legacy. Twisting is the wrong word, he’s straight up lying.

You said anyone that wanted to fire Miles for Jimbo was an idiot because Miles was “better”.

If Alleva wanted to fire Miles for Herman or O, wouldn’t that make him or anyone else than supported the move an “idiot” as well unless they thought those guys were better than Miles at the time?

I don’t really understand your question, and I’m not that interested in it.

Anybody who wanted to replace Miles with Jimbo will always be an idiot.

Sure you do

But I’m not even trying to argue with you. I just find Alleva’s attempt to rewrite history to be par for the course for that walking PR disaster

Alleva is also taking a shot at his successor by doing this.

Heady passive aggressive play from Alleva.

I knew there was some crazy reason Jamarcus went #1

I can say truthfully I was not a Fisher fan at the time. He was the Mack Brown of the ACC. Win 10 games, but against generally inferior competition most years. I’m no Dabo fan, but he is doing at Clemson what Fisher should have been doing when he was at FSU if he was truly that great. And Herman at Houston was doing what he is doing at Texas, losing to inferior teams more often than he should have.

Orgeron took a salary less than what Fisher or Herman would have commanded and more money was put towards the assistant coaching salary pool. That allowed LSU to hire assistants like defensive coordinator Dave Aranda

Is this from Joe Biden or Joe Alleva?

I guess you're calling most of the board idiots then.

If you're on record as opposing the hiring of Jimbo all the way since 2015 then ok. I doubt you were this vocal about it.

I think a lot of this anti-Jimbo rhetoric is due to his tenure at A&M. I don't recall many people at all that weren't in favor of firing Les and hiring Jimbo in 2015.

Oh no doubt. I’m sure Woody basically getting unanimous support from fans and administration from the start has made him even more of a bitter frick.

Let someone else write the puff piece to elevate your legacy. If you need to get out there and commend yourself for them in an interview, it’s probably because you sucked. It also comes off as small...surprise surprise he still sucks at PR.

Alleva is a sad wannabe of shite stirring former ADs.

Especially true if you can remember back to the days of having the GOAT such individual.

Fisher is good.. but he's a win at all costs kind of guy. He's just as likely to get you on probation as to keep you on top long term. He lost my respect with the way he handles discipline issues and left FSU with the cupboard completely dry.

With A&M this appears to have been SOLELY with regard to his contract.

Good for him, I guess.

Joe tells revisionist histories. They’re not real, they’re made to look like he had more power than he did. Joe might not have hired Jimbo. But the Board would have fired him and hired Jimbo themselves if they decided it was the right call
