Joe Alleva gets dumped on a lot, but the problem is above Alleva...who does he answer to?

O is our coach, and I will support him until it is no longer warranted...but I wholeheartedly believe that Jimbo Fisher would be our coach right now had it not been for someone outside of the Athletic Department shutting that down at the end of 2015...
Mark Emmert realized that having a good football program meant more exposure for the school, more applications to attend the school, more donations to the school, an uplift for businesses and the economy that are centered around the school...when will we get back to that mentality?
So, ask yourself: Who is really in control at LSU? Who controls the purse strings? I don't think it is Alleva...

I believe that to be 100% fact based. I also believe that the highest elected office in the state had some dealing in that debacle....that let's you know just how high the level of incompetency reaches.

Jon Bel Edwards along with F King Alexander. They’re both far more concerned with optics than having a winning program.

But as fans, Alleva/TAF donations are probably the only outlet for frustration. You're right, but Alexander is an appointee, and there isn't any direct way to put public pressure on him or the BoS.

It’s really not that hard look who is in control.. the BOS and King (to a degree). They enjoy Allevas company and like the fact he can be used as a puppet.
You can thank Jindal and Edwards for the BOS appointments.

I've posted this repeatedly. The problem is FKING Alexander. And he's ruining more than just the athletic department. You are 100% right. It all starts at the top. And his boss, Governor Honor Code, is a moron as well.

Piyush's BOS appointees cycle out mid-year this year. JBE has only had 1 appointment I think.

Like I said in another thread, F. King is a bottom of the barrel administrator, who took this job when Louisiana made huge budget cuts to LSU.
No administrator worth their weight would have taken on this job.

You’re right. F King is a problem, but the system is set up so the BOS can keep him in check. They don’t. So it’s on the BOS.
