Practice aint the game and until he proves it during SEC games consistenly, he won't be the starter.

I agree. JJ has to prove it in the SEC as well. So far he has come up short.
Shepard and Garrett are undefeated so far.

Sometimes they like really dark blacks dudes as a novelty act(EJ Kuale, Tyson Jackson and RJF) though, i'll give them that.

Don't forget...

Ridley - Played against small white boys
St. Julien - Name sounds white
Charles Scott - Took the place of a white guy
Chad Jones - White name, light skin, also plays white college sport
Trindon Holliday - Because he's short like a lot of white guys
Ryan Baker - White name and hits black guys real hard on kickoff returns

Who else?? Hmm, I think it's just Keiland we don't like Max...

Anybody that thinks JL is going to start the season as number 1 (barring injury) is a complete idiot. JJ showed us last year who the best QB on the team is. This is obvious, it's not even funny.

the rant isn't racist at all, they just really hope the whites succeed more than the blacks.

While this is certainly true for a small percentage of the rant(hell, I've played the race card almost as much as anybody), you do have a hard-on for the brothers, yourself. You thought Ridley sucked for the longest time because you assumed he was white.

Da bottom line people are pulling for JJ or JL 2 be the starter based on race...thats my take..ill just keep watchin, reading and see how it plays out..if you ask me let Russelll Shepard start...sit jj and jl down..

You're an idiot then.

Rational fans just want to win. They want another crystal football. Now the irrational want to prove they are right by selecting the starter. If the crystal football lands here, then they will all claim they wanted the guy who brought it all along.

I think most all of us on this thread simply want LSU to win. JL did not play well last year, and that is an understatement. And, JJ provided us with the quarterback play that we needed. He's a good game manager. He may even turn out to be an exceptional quarterback. But, I will be very happy if he is a good game manager, like Herb Tyler, and Matt Flynn and Matt Maulk, who led our last two championship teams. These guys were very good. They aren't NFL starters, but we were, and are, proud they were here. I'm getting old. Trust me, that doesn't make me any smarter. It just means I've made a few more mistakes that I can learn from. One such mistake, when I was much younger, was to booooo when a young quarterback (I thought of him as "Mr. Interception" came into the game. That was Bert Jones. He got better. And, yes, that is an understatement too. But, what I learned was to not be so quick to judge. Having said that, I hope JL does well, but the job is JJ's to lose. Both represent my school. I pull for both.

Post of the early year?(Minus the Mauck misspelling)
