most likely.....

quote:

I'm eight games away from being the quarterback that has won the most games at LSU.

this is how stats don't tell the whole story. i'd probably put him as our fifth best qb over the past past 10 years behind mauck, flynn, JR, davey. if RP would have stuck around maybe he's sixth. don't get me wrong, i hope we see a new jj this year, but i just found this interesting.

JJ is definitely not a leader. Hopefully someone on the offense will step up and lead these guys.

Yes, it bothers me to an extent. Just because you are a part of something doesn't mean it was to your credit. Those wins were not because of him. A couple of those last year are because Lee bailed his arse out.

meh, the team seems to think he's a leader.

I don't see it either, but if the players are willing to follow him, then he is a good enough leader for me.

Yes, because it shows how clueless he is. When he comes off one of his patented games of <100 yards passing saying he thinks he played pretty good, it certainly offers one glaring reason as to why we have seen zero improvement. If he was admitting that he sucked and was going to get to work and try to get better, I wouldn't be so down on him. And I don't just blame him-someone has to be pumping sunshine up his backside providing verification (I believe to protect a VERY fragile ego), which manifests itself in starting him every game, even after the ones last year where JL clearly ran the offense better. If he gets the most wins as a starting QB, there will have to be an asterisk beside it, parenthetically noting the ones that we won in spite of his substandard play, and the ones that were really won by JL and PP.

He is a terrible QB and also a frickin arrogant jerk. How can he take credit for anything this football team has EVER done?

IDC if we win the NC this year and he plays well, I'm ready for this cat to get the hell out of TS. I'm not a JJ basher by any means, but the shite this kid says just makes me sick to my stomach.

You know what this means? He is also leading in the "most wins despite awful qb play". I think he will proudly carry that banner for a while. Also, how many of those wins did Lee march the team down the field? JJ might be the only qb in the nation to have his schools record for most ins as a starting qb.... and have his back up win him 3-5 of his games.

Not if we have to vacate the last two seasons for every game RS played in.

This thread shows how terrible our fanbase can truly be.

He's a better QB than some of us come across as fans.imo

I don't know the context the quote was given in, but having your team win more games than any other in LSU history isn't a bad thing...I wouldn't think.

If he wasn't so cocky and arrogant for no reason I'd be nicer, but this guy deserves 0 sympathy. I've never seen a guy play so awful yet still feel entitled to being the starter.

Whats he going to say? Sure last season he never owned up to his performances at the start of the year but in this off season he has been critical of himself. THe guys not going to get up there and say "Im terrible and don't deserve to be the QB of this team" he would lose the team for forever.

Ok then, he is either very cocky and arrogant or very very stupid. After an impressive spring game preformance when he went 4-14 , he claimed he cemented himself as a starter... while Met didn't look amazing but looked much better than him. This is one of his milder incidents. I know there have been others.

He played a part in both our wins and losses
