It's still relatively early in camp (20 days out from the game) and I'm ok with getting everyone reps now because once the season starts, back-up reps will be few and far between...particularly at the QB spot. You always want your back up ready and it's much harder to get him reps in a game week with limited practice time.

However, about 10 days out or so the starter needs to be in place and getting the majority of the 1st team reps in preparation for Miami. As far as an "announcement" of the first team QB goes, who gives a shite as long as the TEAM knows? Ogeron doesn't "owe" me information and I'm not entitled to it. I couldn't care less if I don't find out who the starting QB is until he runs out on the field in Texas. It's not like I can change anything one way or the other if I find out who is starting today or 3 weeks from now.

if Burrow does light it up he very well could go pro and be gone just after one season.

If Burrow starts game 1 and somehow struggles, this "QB charade" is going to get some very heavy and heated criticism.

As soon as Jimmy Ott stops the charade of him being a competent radio personality. Charlie Hanagriff might be the biggest waste of talent in BR history because of who he is paired up with.

JB transferred here so that means there's no way anyone else has gotten better since then. Crazy. Just let it play out. It's likely that he starts just because he transferred here.

Anyone want to tell us what happens in JB struggles and turns out to be a bust too? Just asking the know-it-alls. He might just light it up. But I'm will to give the others a shots the first 2 weeks of camp. Not a lot to ask.

I’m 51 and going to Dallas for first ever away game. I’m really hoping that they have JB as ready as can be

O is playing recruiting games. Hes trying to keep 2 QBs from transferring, by making them think they could be the starter

And it will bite him in the arse when the eventual starter finds himself is lacking in needed reps against a quality opponent

2 guys that probably never played or coached football think they know how to develop a qb...ridiculous.

3 downvotes for this once again the rant proves how knowledgeable they are about the game. If any of you played QB you would realize right now Burrow is learning the plays that 3 other guys already know...so I guess yall think he should get his "work" in with the first team and impede their preparation for the season he will get his work with the 2nd and 3rd string and when he can run the plays effectively will start getting more 1st string reps.

Competition will benefit all much more than first team reps for a QB who doesn't know the playbook. Competition has a serious plus side when it comes to motivating an athlete, especially a leader type personality that needs to be present in a QB.
