This would say a lot about Kelly in a bad way if this is his transfer QB.

Hey pal, you don't know jack...

last I checked

we have 2 freshman for next year...

if we are lucky, Brennan comes back

so if you're a coach

you need to entertain QB's willing to come who have SEC experience...

Miles is injury prone

People here didn’t like Max, and Max is much better than Calzada.

What makes you think Brian Kelly “ran them off”?

I meant more of the fans, but I would assume Kelly wasn't exactly trying to retain Max if he left so quickly. Not even willing to play in the bowl after being a starter seems pretty telling. The guy behind him was back to being okay with a redshirt.

This is more of what I meant.

I think he wanted them both.

I am not as convinced he wanted Max. However, A&M is now in the same position regarding the bowl game I guess. A&M people are thinking Max and his brother are interested in A&M. Now that would be wild. Shouldn't Haynes King be ready for next season?

Well we could look at it this way.

LIke both Johnsons ending up at aTm and we beat them agian..at their place...with their old QB!
BUT..if possible i would rather get Brennen back for one more year.

Kelly is too smart to go for that. He’s building a championship team.

I was never impressed with him. Granted, he's a sophmore so he has room to grow. He threw a pick in 6 straight games this year.

But we need bodies in the QB room. Take him if there's no one else.

The offense they run is pretty underwhelming. Calzada has plenty of talent and anyone preemptively melting over this is being short-sighted. He wasn’t fully developed, but had to grow up fast. With that year of experience and a fresh start I’d be more than happy to give Calzada a shot.
