I know he is a true freshman and that is a long way off but the dude has put up 3 straight 100 yard games and one was against Bama. He was given the ball 29 times. In this stable of running backs I think that speaks to the talent level of this kid.

Given that the kid is a true freshman and has to stick around for 2 more FULL seasons, what do you think the odds of him reeling in a Heisman by the end of his junior year are?

Senior maybe IF he stays. he'll be a finalist as a junior if he can still put up these numbers.

You hate the fact that we have a true freshman running back who has set himself apart as the premier featured back in arguably one of the most talented and deepest backfields in the country?

Running for a 100 yards a game and scoring TDs will win the Heisman trophy in the SEC boss.

Also maybe you are forgetting that most of our OL are freshman that are going to be around for the next 2 years as well and Porter is going to be a beast at center as well. A heisman trophy is a team award, not an individual award. We are shaping up to have a damn good running game with a premier back for the next 2 years.

Time and time again we have shown we will never have a heisman candidate with our offense. Just dont rely on 1 player at all. It's never going to happen under current staff guys (not saying it isnt good/bad, just saying it wont happen).

We don't need to rely on one player necessarily. We need to have a featured RB in order for this to happen. Miles ran Hill 29 times against the best defense in the country in one of the biggest games in the history of TS on Saturday night. The next closest back had 7, followed by 3. This kid is going to get some touches.

I was proud of Miles for running him that much during the game. We don't do a lot of that, but they took what looks to be our best back and kept feeding it to him. It's a serious accomplishment when you can get 100 yards on that D. He had more yards in the first half than Bama gives up per game to each team they play. He's got great moves and big play ability.

I think this guy can torch most defenses outside of Bama's. And even against them, he had big moments and was hard to stop.

He will but probably average something like 15 MAYBE 20 carries a game at most over the course of a season. 29 carries is an outlier not the trend (nor will it be).

For sure there was a lot of hype, he had a great game. But it was one game.

Hill has had 3 fantastic games in a row. He came up in the biggest moment in 2 games and put them away with huge TD runs. He put up over 100 yards against the vaunted Bama defense. He has good vision and ability to find holes (which will be opened up nicely over the next 2 years as our young OL really mature) and has breakaway speed so can house the ball at any point.

Obviously anything can happen, I mean the kid is a true freshman. But I really like what I see from him so far. He looks to be the total package.

I am proudly posting that I said it early as well. But lots of people pointed at mop-up duty or cupcake defenses. Some of us weren't just optimistic but saw something we haven't seen in a while. Not knocking Addai, Toefield, Davis, Ridley, Ford, Keiland, JV, or any of those good backs.
I said outloud at the game "holy crap we haven't seen this since Faulk" after his FIRST big run of the season. Granted KW had that amazing VT run but never got fair chance after that IMO and we know what JV did after 2003.
Fingers Crossed. Hil for Heisman 2014. I'm drinking the koolaid.

I am afraid of this as well. But at least others are taking note of something POTENTIALLY special like a Mark Ingram type back or dare we say Cecil!!!
It's just saying a lot for someone to shine that brightly and quickly in such a deep backfield.

If Mett plays lights out every game no chance. If not, Hill is definitely a contender. It is nice that we have Heisman caliber guys at QB and RB for once. I wish it was next season already.
