Most people (especially here) have family members that are alcoholics - I did - but that doesn't mean I look down on anyone else that chooses to drink: without harming anyone, for fun, and where a portion of the money is going towards a good cause.

So do I. However, I’m not an alcoholic and know how to enjoy alcohol responsibly. In fact, the majority of people know how to enjoy alcohol responsibly. Why should they not have fun because others can’t?
And if this is such a sensitive issue for you that you feel a zero alcohol approach is necessary for your life, why participate in a thread about alcohol? Moderation can be the healthiest approach to life both physically and mentally.
