Miles is still hoping to keep JJ involved for his confidence. Miles knows that JJ will toss in the towel if he is benched. Miles thinks that he may be needed down the line, so he needs to keep JJ engaged. I don't agree with coddling a player, but I do understand the angle. Once JLee proves to be so much better consistently, the job will be his.

I'm starting to get that fear. Remember when Les said he would play the qbs based on matchups. Wondering if the only reason Lee played half the game was because they saw how bad Tennessee secondary was. And now they see how good Florida's is and I'm now doubting if Lee plays more than a couple series.

I think this is the best explanation.
You still have nobody to blame but the coach for ever getting a team in such a situation where it has to be explained in such a way.

If true thats a real shame.
Les is really trying to get him to be the winningest qb is LSU history.
Hopefully he goes out and shows how terrible he is and Lee comes in and stays in the rest of the year.
