Ok Jayden Daniels/ Mom. Here's the deal. LSU took you in and provided you with a great situation on offense that you flourished in and won the Heisman trophy. Very Well done! We greatly appreciate you. You chose to opt out of the bowl game that year, LSU felt disrespected but we understood you were protecting your future.
Now LSU is protecting their future by using #5 jersey with a defensive player. You and Mom need to understand and appreciate what LSU did for you. End of story ??????
If you wanted to push the issue maybe all players who opt out of any game should pay back pro rata? some $$ ??

Only thing that could salvage this is if JD cut bait and released a statement that his mom is no longer involved in his business and that he wants to establish a renewed relationship with LSU going forward,

No matter what anyone thinks about this 5 matter you can NOT change history. JDaniels was such a unique player for us and one of the most gifted talents we've ever seen. Every single snap was as if we had the advantage no matter who or what the situation.
Many players have had off field issues but their play was their history. KLacy was a jerk but good. Cecil Collins was a jerk but perhaps the best human running back I've ever witnessed.
JD was a phenom. Don't even try to argue that.

I get your point but I don’t think Cecil’s “history” was his play for LSU. His legacy is he was a whacko sexual stalker. Also his issue is wayyyyy different than JD’s.
