People need to quit trying to put a square peg in a round hole. Is JD still missing some open receivers??Yes. But what he btt try bigs to the table offsets that deficiency for now. Hopefully he will continue to improve but what he is doing allows us to win games. He makes plays when needed and doesn’t turn the ball over. The fumble was the result of late decision to pull the ball. That can be fixed. Otherwise quit bitching about what he doesn’t do and pay attention to what he does do.

Well, 2 of the 3 we've played so far.

He did enough in the 3rd. Other factors came into play.

His deficiencies not progressing his reads and throwing on WR cuts ((versus waiting til the get open which is too late) will be exposed dramatically by the Better SEC teams. But want to remain confident that he is being coached up in this regard, and we will see progress. He is athletically gifted no doubt. These limitations are coachable.

A win or loss will never fall on any single player's shoulders. There was more JD could have done to win that game just like there was more Nabors, Boutte, special teams, defense, etc. could have done.

6 TDs/0 ints is huge
He’s also our leading rusher

Sure, but I'll stick to my assessment that he did enough. If some of those other things you mentioned had simply been bad instead of terrible, we beat FSU.

His not seeing open receives was a big part of it. Huge as a matter of fact.

Having him as the leading rusher is a huge problem.

For SEC defenses, yes.

When he has time, he still doesn't see open receivers.

Why are people defending him? He is not a good QB.

There is nothing wrong with his style of play, it’s that he doesn’t see the field well. They need to change their passing philosophy to give him shorter passes to complete earlier in the game. Slants, digs, crossing routes etc. Screens are good but he seems to have accuracy issues with those.

It’s short sighted, because if he can’t get the ball to other playmakers, then they won’t want to stay at LSU and others won’t want to come. Daniels might be able to get us through this season, but then it’ll hurt us in the long run. It wouldn’t shock me to see some receivers opting out. I think he is already costing Boutte money, and other receivers will see that.

Other qbs who led their team in rushing: Jalen Hurts (2019 OU), Malik Willis (Liberty), KJ Jefferson (Ark), Johnny Manziel, Lamar Jackson

Gtfo with y’all’s “you don’t want your qb as your leading rusher”. We’ve got running backs that can go between the tackles for us.
Having Daniels as our leading rusher is an asset, not a problem.

No. We've had bad QB play for years and have never had trouble bringing in elite receivers.

I am hopeful that Daniels comes out of next spring as QB3. Really need Nuss and Howard to step up.
