Not sure what those suites cost a company or an individual at the Box. Not even sure what having access to the Champion’s Club costs. But, what I do know is that Jay fully understands that those boosters don’t shell out those bucks to travel for Regionals and Super Regionals.

It’s his first year and he has the #1 recruiting class coming in next year. So, he’ll be given a mulligan this year. But, boosters, especially of the LSU persuasion, won’t give him long to get the ship righted.

Are you saying the boosters don’t like Jay Johnson?

Give him time

We won a lot of games and a natty with Paul Maineri who didn’t do much of any coaching

I’m pretty sure Jay has done more coaching in one year than Paul’s entire career here

You are a fricking retard and keep starting bull shite like this.

Jay has OVERACHIEVED IF ANYTHING considering he wasn’t hired until June and had to deal with having only 1 legitimate starting pitcher who promptly was lost for the season.

Then losing the Best Hitter in the fricking SEC from a conference perspective and still doing what he has done.

Thanks for the update. You should send him a strongly worded email.

I hear ya. But I don’t know how many diehard baseball fans are left after Skip retired. Personally, I love baseball more than LSU basketball but I don’t think SW is going to go out big time for every LSU sports team. Only so many dollars and you must give Jay at least three full seasons before you do anything.

Oh how generous of you.

I’m sure he’ll sleep better at night now.

The question is simple. Are we better off today than this program was 365 days ago ? The answer is yes.

This team has no starting pitching and LSU won 17 SEC games.

I'm pretty excited what Jay and Kelly can do once they get some starting pitchers.

AND IT IS NOT CLOSE.
Pancho or Russian is the OG butch that started this thread. He downvoted you. Could be that fat arse Rantz as well.

Do people honestly believe PAUL would have managed this staff this well? HELL THE frick NO.
Nor would his teams scored nearly the runs. They MAYBE would have played better defense but Thompson would have been bad in the field JUST LIKE LAST SEASON AS WAS DOUGHTY and no way he gets Berry here.

He will get at least 5 years. Frankly he did a good job when we lost our entire pitching rotation from a mediocre staff last year. Without Berry, Cooper, Rez, and Gervase guys that he either brought or got in the portal we would be below 500 in the SEC.

What Jay has done with this pitching staff has been fantastic. I think Jay Johnson is an exceptional baseball coach that will win a CWS sooner rather than later.
