Jayden Daniels Stats

So, I decided to look up his prior stats from ASU. And, I must say he's very consistent. Damn near every stat is almost identical. So, for those of you who say, " he is what he is" are most definitely correct. I can pretty much see and believe, it will be the same outing next season if he decides to stay. But, we shall see. Hope the link works.

His stats have significantly improved from last year against much better competition.he’s a good qb and with an all in burrow type of off-season he could be great.

Also ask yourself the following:
- How many times did you yell "Holy shite just throw the fricking ball" at your tv this year
- How excited were you to see Nuss effortlessly sling the ball around the field?
...but but his stats shows he's a top 3 QB in the SEC. I bet the other top QBs in the SEC do not want to make you destroy your TV every time he steps back to pass.

He’s a very frustrating QB to watch.

Vs Auburn 8 completions 80yds, Arkansas 8 completions 86yds.
Just not a consistently competent passer.

We caught a huge break with Arkansas' QB not playing. That was such an ugly game.

Both QBs have positive traits and both need improvement in others. Daniels, while being more timid than not when throwing, threw 3 interceptions on the year. Nussmeir, showing no fear and throws looks like a nice ball with great arm strength, has 3 interceptions on the year as well.
If we could only combine JDs running ability with Nuss’ arm and no fear mentality, then blend their mindsets together on when/not to throw, I think we’d have a too 5 QB in the country.

Likely best to ever play the game ever.

I mean, you're lying.
Daniel's has gotten better at running the ball and not throwing interceptions since ASU.

He had 10 pass TDs and 10 Ints. last year.
He had 17 pass TDs and 3 Ints. this year. He also ran for 11 TDs this year. He only had 6 rushing TDs last year. Not sure you know how to read stats if you think those are almost identical.

His yards/attempt and yards/completion have gone down every single year too.
Remarkably, his yards/attempt went down exactly 0.4 ypa every year.
Year // YPA // YPC
2019 // 8.7 // 14.4
2020 // 8.3 // 14.3
2021 // 7.9 // 12.1
2022 // 7.5 // 10.9

My problem with Daniel’s is 9/10 deep balls is underthrown by quite a bit. No telling how many touchdowns he missed out on this year on long underthrown vertical routes.

The thing that frustrates me the most about Daniels(outside of him having to have receivers running wide open for him to throw) is that he always takes the sack. He doesn’t even make an attempt to throw the ball away.

JD accounted for 4 tds against Miss State, Auburn, and Tennessee.
He accounted for 14 against Alabama, ole miss, and Florida.
consistent?

He was good against uga so maybe so

He will be what he has been his whole career a runner first and will hit the primary receiver if he is open and that's a stretch at times. I believe Daniels got the most out of himself and helped LSU win the SEC west for BK first year.
If LSU is going to go to the next level they need a pass first qb that can distribute the ball to open receivers down the field and if pressured can pick up the first down with his legs. The running game never got off the ground because so many teams knew Daniels was just another running back at QB so they always loaded the box. This is not all on JD the OC could have did a better job with Daniels and the Defense fell apart at the end of the season. If Daniels comes back i just think it will be another year of frustration with him always wanting to run and not get more players involved in the offense.

Daniels is very consistent. Didn’t matter if LSU was up by 20 or down by 20…he wasn’t going to push the ball down the field. There’s a big difference in the play of a QB that doesn’t make a mistake, and a QB who is scared to make a mistake.

His passing is porous. His ability to get rid of the ball and avoid sacks is as bad as I have seen. His refusal to allow receivers to make plays down field was costly. JD also had way too many unproductive drives, especially against FSU, Auburn, Tenn, Ark, A&M, and UGA. With way more college starts than Burrow had a chance to have, this guy will never be great and should never be mentioned in the same sentence as Burrow. One is a Heisman trophy winner, national champion, and Super Bowl participant. One is an average college running back that will never be championship quality.
* I guess everyone should be compared to Burrow these days, because we have seen so many just like him. Hell... since Burrow improved so much in one off season, just imagine what Biden can do with four more years.
