The thing that I am excited about is that he started bad against Arky. A lot of the times when he starts bad he stays bad. This time he turned it around late in the second half and then played great the second half

If you can’t see the improvements he has made in his game from last year, I don’t know how you can make that statement. He is way ahead at this point compared to last year.

I've seen calls for every LSU QB to be benched. At the end of the 2018 season when it was clear that Burrow had turned the corner finishing with 10TDs vs 1 INT there were posters saying he sucks and the competition was poor so his numbers were inflated. In the off season there were 20+ page threads with some arguing Burrow would go undrafted. It wasn't until 3-4 games into 2019 before some of those comments went silent

If anyone thinks that JD didn’t deserve some of the criticism, you are lying to yourself. He was having trouble making reads and pulling the trigger. The receivers were showing their frustration some last year (and a little this year as well).
No one should have ever questioned his heart and toughness though. He seems like a GREAT kid that is always positive and a good teammate.
Ms State was the best I have ever seen him look…..and he looked much better in the second half on Saturday. Inconsistency has always been JDs issue, but I love the way he is believing in his own arm talent now……and pushing the ball down the field. This is going to help the run game, because the safeties won’t be able to live in the box.

He has won 4 SEC Offensive Player of the Week Awards in his 10 SEC games and one of those was against Bama last year . That's about as strong as it gets. He has his challenges at times and could do some things better, but I wouldn't say he leaves a lot to be desired when we won the West last year in big part due to his outstanding game against Bama and when he has won two SEC Offensive Player of the Week awards in two SEC games this year.

I wont go as far as to say ANY criticism is based on race but there is some that is. All you need to do is listen to people blabber while walking into/out of the game and around the tailgating area
