He made some beautiful deep passes and some awful deep passes that were all gobbled up by our WRs, so here's hoping that gained him some confidence rewatching.

When you have BTJ and Nabers on the outside, not many people are going to get that ball away from them. Just give them an opportunity to go get it

Has a very quick release, once he decides to throw it

Watch the practice. Daniels passes seem to take a couple more seconds to reach the receiver than Nuss or Collins.

Jayden Daniels is going to shut half this board up in the fall. He was a fantastic quarterback last season and I expect him to be better this year. He’s not Burrow so he’s going to throw an interception every once in a while but I still believe he is a top five quarterback in the country.

But I was told by the rant that it was impossible for him to improve since he has been playing QB for so long already.

Would be funny as hell if we snagged another transfer who became a Heisman winner.

Fantastic is a bit of a stretch. Throwing for 80 yards doesn't scream Fantastic.

I'm wondering how much more we would have seen out of Daniels letting it loose downfield if Boutte and his 4.67 40 hadn't been the primary receiver on those plays.

Daniels ate the ball or took off running a whole lot when he saw Boutte was covered.

Would Nabers as the primary receiver make a difference in this regard? Would Thomas?

We'll find out, obviously, but it's a theory that would explain some of his skittishness. At Arizona State he was less indecisive, especially when he had guys like Brandon Aiyuk lighting it up. And when Nabers took over as his primary receiver it seemed like he was more aggressive.

I’d like to believe. If so we’re going to roll. I do remember hearing about how good JJ and some of our qbs were in the spring and it never translated to games, so I’ll patiently wait and see.
