Nope! You people should try harder to hide your little agenda.

Even if he wins the heisman he doesn’t have a national championship like Joe Burrow, who was also 15-0.

championships are a team sport. Daniels would have been spectacular with that 19 offense and defense. Saying its an agenda to say hes had the best season of any modern qb is fricking ridiculous. look at his numbers.

No one knows that so that argument is out the window. For anyone to say they know for certain what dainels would’ve done with the 2019 is a lie.

ETA: one thing for certain is that we know what Joe Burrow did with the 2019 team and that’s go 15-0 AND win the national championship. Oh, and I do believe he also won the heisman trophy as well.

I'm not taking anything away from Joe. But Delpit, Stingley, Fulton, Queen, Stephens, Clark, Chaisson, Divinity, and Lawerence helped a lot in the 15-0 stat.

I say you can say they are 1a and 1b and argue the case who was invidually better either way.

Replace burrow with Jayden in 2019. Could have been worse, the same, or better results. But no question about it. They are both special in what they do. I have no doubt jayden will do well at the next level!

It just hard to compare Joes season in 2019 man.
Joe had over 5600 pass yards and over 6000 total yards 60 pass TDs 5 rush. 65 Total

That’s insane.

Jayden with 4 more games like Joe had would be damn close but who knows that’s the beauty of clicking on all cylinders as a team and having a defense.
I do think Joe had the ability to bring grit and edge to his 19’ team through his demeanor and helped the team even as a whole, and the defense matched the competitive spirit and played better because of it.
But wow we are lucky to have seen both.

The more telling comparison between 2019 and 2023 is the defenses.

Swap the defenses and both seasons have drastically different outcomes.

The 2023 defense is atrocious and there are no acceptable excuses for a top tier Power 5 program to ever perform this poorly over an entire season. Complete failure for CBK.

that is unreal. He is so explosive and smooth when he takes off that he is just gliding once he has momentum going. I’d say he’s the greatest DT -QB I’ve ever seen in CFB.

Eta Lamar Jackson played in the American conference and is the only better rusher but when you compare passing stats from his Heisman season, JD has already far exceeded him in every passing stat in two less games:

Lamar Jackson (13 games)
56.2% completion percentage
3543 yards
30:9 TD:INT

JD5 (11 games)
72.6% completion percentage
3577 yards
36:4 TD:INT

I haven’t looked into this much, but does the new clock rule hurt stats for players moving forward as we compare them to previous years?

It feels like teams are getting less possessions in college football this season. I’d like to see LSU’s touchdown per possession rate this season, seems like it is off the charts.

The really cool part is that all last year I thought he tried too hard to avoid interceptions, never taking risks with the deep down the middle passes.

And now, he throws all the deep passes, and still only has 4 interceptions.

What a season!

The conversation is about QB not the team.

Joe B is the standard, but he does not win a championship with this Defense.

Maybe that 2019 coaching staff would wipe the floor with our current overpaid group of coaching grifters on defense.

Exactly. People here always disregard the RIDICULOUS number of passing yards AND touchdowns Joe was able to achieve.
