Jayce Brown breakout?

Last week I predicted Jackson Harris as the breakout player.
I think this week it will be a bit harder to predict. If Winnie Watkins is sat for concussion protocol, I would think Jayce Brown gets a shot as the slot WR. I would say a Eugene Wilson big game would happen, but he's been a steady WR2.
Harlem should get a lot of reps and a chance to solidify the RB2. I don't think Jones will play much. He's already at 78 carries.
This should be a really good opportunity for the young DL to get more reps as well. Maybe Richard Anderson shows out.

Really wish Jayce would get going. We need another solid option at WR and he has the tools just needs to get over the hump. Feels like a mental thing right now.

With the weather forecast, I imagine Clark and Longstreet get the bulk of the QB work with a mostly run-heavy conservative offense. Not gonna need much more than that on Saturday against McNeese.

It will be interesting to see how they play this with Brown after dropping that easy touchdown at the end of last game. They could move him to back of the depth chart to never be seen again, or they could throw him right back out there and feed it to him a bunch this week. I think a lot depends on how they view his character, how he prepares, how he practices, how he focuses. This week of practice could be the biggest of his entire career.

He and Wilson were the biggest highlights we picked up. He has been a massive non-factor disappointment. I thought Harris was underrated when we got him and he was the first guy LSU snagged out of the portal. Brown needs to step up he was one of LSU's bigger pickups and has done nothing. So far he is a bust.

Jayce Brown has certainly been the biggest disappointment to me so far; just so weird how good he was at KSU and he cant even get catches at all in whats a pretty mediocre overall WR corps here. Especially when you Wright out of the equation who looked like he could make a move before getting hurt.
Jayce is really the only WR left in my head who could really make any noise this year probably with Wright out. Elzy has had his chances and looked, well, like a guy who had 16 catches in 3 years at Illinois. Barber could be a guy maybe if they give him more chances as a freshman? Tre Brown, Holloway don't seem like threats really thus far.

Brown had 4 catches for 77 yards and a TD as a freshman against an eventual 12-2 Texas team that finished #6 in the country. So I think he has the skills, but he is probably adjusting to the new system, the SEC and a new QB. He should have had that easy TD on Saturday. Hopefully he can make some catches on Saturday and start to get some traction.

I wasn’t really big on Jayce. Tre however, I was expecting big things from him. Hoping he can find a way on the field. Kid is electric.

Doesn’t look like moving to the SEC was a good move for him he’s small and slow and has been pretty much locked up every game
