While I understand Jay's position here, its horrible for the fans.

I’ve been saying it for a couple of years now, and I get down voted into oblivion, but Jay really screws the fans over. He made a comment yesterday that the crowd when Morgan hit a home run in the Kentucky Super Reguonal that it was the first time he truly felt what everyone means when they speak of the LSU fans in postseason form at the Box…
Well quit having 5 hour cloud delays and let the crowd support the team. Cars are streaming out of the parking lots.
Game coulda been played and over with by now.
This.

I 100% understand why Jay wants this. Makes absolute logical sense from his side
It also 100% screws over fans that are attending
It’s also 100% obvious Jay does make these decisions
I also don’t understand how the hell he is allowed to throw his weight around this much

Like I said. People do that every single day for the daily commutes to work. I’m sorry you drove an hour to a baseball game and might get home later than you thought you would. I bet traffic REALLY pisses you off too

I like it. He doesn’t take any chances of his stud two aces not getting a full start. Also why we pick the first game. We should get our game in today and the other teams will play 2-3 games tomorrow

I'm not even at the game, weirdo lol

No one cares you live outside Nashville bro.
No one cares about your commute from Baton Rouge to New Orleans either but you clearly wanted us to feel sorry for Jay apparently fricking you over

The fans will be there regardless.

Then why do you care?

It happened to me two years ago during the Baton Rouge Super Regional against Kentucky. Went down the night before because the game was supposed to start at 2:00. Got pushed back to 9:00 and I didn’t get back to Ruston until 3:30 Sunday morning.

Yep. I know there's NCAA officials there, but it's not like this doesn't happen all throughout the regular season too. Anyone acting like Jay has no part in these constant delays any time weather rolls in is kidding themselves.
Weather is a part of outdoor sports. The game should have started by now.

No doubt about it. The way he built that team and won a national championship in year two…..fricking a-hole that guy Jay is. He’s probably working on screwing over the fans again. We can only hope.
You morons are hopeless.

if he loses the game because the game was stopped because of bad weather and he burns one of his best arms, the same fans will want him fired. Thats the hilarious thing in all this.

No other regional in the country waits out possible rain 90 minutes later.
We’ve seen several regionals today get affected by rain but we are the only one to have not thrown a pitch and we’ve only had 10 minutes of a drizzle. It’s already stopped.
Posted on 5/30/25 at 5:33 pm to Choupique19
I just don’t understand how the other coach doesn’t lose their mind
“So, we are delaying the game because it has a 30% chance to rain in 90 minutes?”

Why are y'all pissed at someone who doesn't make decisions like having a weather delay?
Despite what y'all believe, it's not always the coach's fault, no matter the sport.
Nobody hates their NC winning coaches more than LSU fans.

Genius idea. We’re talking like some kinda atmospheric manipulation device?

Point me to another regional that hasn’t started yet?
And we would probably rank about 6th on the most precipitation scale. We have had 10 minutes of a drizzle today and are already almost 4 hours behind schedule without a start time in sight.
