I’m expecting a SEC team in 14/16 regionals w as many as 6 in the top 8
12/16 is most likely. Could see 6/8 but I think 5/8 national seeds is going to be the move by the committee.

They need to win the series. Going 1-4 in SEC road series does not suggest a team deserves a top 8 seed, especially when 2 of those series losses would be against teams with losing SEC records.

There is a big difference between 18-12 and 19-11 when the former is because of losing a series to crappy South Carolina.

Mizzou
USCe
A&M
Possibly State - Mizzou is on a run

There is no reason the SEC should get 14 teams in the tournament.

It could happen if A&M and State get series wins. A&M was already on the bubble and State will have possibly 14-15 conference wins if they handle Mizzou in this last series

It could. But it shouldn't. A&M has no business being in the tournament. Mississippi State barely has a case.

Think your realistic starting options are Noot, Shores, and Cowan.

I have been liking Cowan‘s role as it has been, but man setting Cowan up as a starter for a one versus four regional matchup is starting to look pretty awesome right now.

MSU is in unless they pull an A&M of last weekend.

A&M still has a path.

I think miss st has a much better shot than A&M. A&M has to sweep at georgia, thats damn near impossible. And then still prob have to win at least 1 in hoover. Anything less and their fate has to be sealed. That rpi is way too low

I thought we were automatically playing on Thur next week. I didn't realize they split 1 & 4 and 2 & 3. So part of my point was what's the difference of short rest this week or short rest next week?

My point is that in LSUs position, next week means absolutely dick. Playing on Thursday or Friday is irrelevant if we take care of business THIS week. Win 2 this weekend and a top 8 is a lock. SEC tournament is only relevant if you’re a bubble team for the tournament or a host spot.

I’m getting the downvotes because I made a mistake on the year but when Paul left our pitching was a disaster with little to no lefty’s. It was nuts

There were no lefties. That’s a fact. If you go back and remember the southern miss series you’ll find your answer about lefties. Had not been for Hilliard. I don’t know what that season would’ve ended up being.
That’s why I’ve always said Jason Kelly did wonders with that bullpen.

Sounds about right, thanks for the correction.
I think we had a couple lefties but they were hurt or something.
