No one ever said this.

No, you did. You said the only studs he had were transfers.

Ever wonder why a guy that has single digit walks his senior year of highschool all of a sudden couldn't throw it over the plate. Did the purple jersey confuse him? Did the strike zone get smaller? Or did his coaching change?

Because he's pitching against Tennessee instead of Parkview Baptist. And yes, the strikezone does get smaller in college.

He both were starters their 1st day on campus. Holman started at Bama too.

They were starters that improved signifcantly after transferring to LSU. Directly contradicting whatever point you were trying to make.

Jump developed into a serviceable starter.

Jump developed into a better pitcher than the pitcher who you said Yeskie shouldn't get credit for because he was already too good.

Alot of guys play different positions in college compared to where they thought they would. How much better is Evans now than last year?

He turned a 2 way player who wanted to hit into a premier arm in the country who is in the midst of a sophomore slump.

Are you saying Jump was an all-star?

He was a second round pick.

quote:

He gave up 7.2 hits and 2.4 walks per nine.

That calculates to a 1.06 WHIP which is pretty fricking good. Anderson had a 1.06 WHIP last year.

He was a second round pick.

Are you saying Jump was an all-star? His year started shakey. He gave up 7.2 hits and 2.4 walks per nine. ~3.5 wra. That's a solid weekend starter, but most top tier SEC teams have one of those.

By mid season he was one of the best starters in the country, was drafted in the 2nd round, and is now one of the best pitching prospects in MILB

High school players also aren’t good enough to lay off pitches out of the zone that college players at this level are.

It's very easy to sit in your chair and criticize and not have any decision-making in real time oraccountability yourself

In his defense, this pitching staff is complete GARBAGE!!! I mean, you can't put into words how bad these guys are!

So we are only blaming the players for their lack of development and not the coaches?

Jay is great but no one is above criticism. The staff laid an egg this year. Doesn’t make them bad coaches. Just means they need to regroup and do better

They all didn’t walk this many before coming to LSU or JJ would not have offered.

A down season is 2024

This is not a down season. This is a prolific losing season. Thats it. Whats so hard to understand?

We will have to wait till the season is over to see what "Jay" does.
