Have you seen the roster for next season? Jays got a lot of work ahead of him.

Last time Jay had an early exit from the tourney, he got Skenes, White, & Hurd.

I trust him.

He needs to fire the defensive positioning coach.

The season wasn’t a success, not by LSUs standards of course. That’s not the point here though.

People here should be excited.

The future is bright.

They’ve got A TON of rebuilding to do around three freshmen and maybe two reliable arms. I’ve got no faith in noot or shores until I see them. He’s got his work cut out for him

But you did see Shores last year and he was elite. You have two guys who you can pencil into the rotation in Herring and Anderson. You have Guidry. You have guys like Primeaux, Seo, and (maybe Ulloa) who have good enough stuff. Then you have guys with CRAZY potential in Moffett and Johnson. That doesn't account for any portal arms.

The talent is there. Just need to put it together.

Attack the portal can't make the same mistake thinking young guys will step up again.

Also, it will be interesting to see what Jay can do with the early jump and this much more time to work on recruiting for next year.

Jay not bringing Zack back in was the problem.

His teams are tough and play hard. They are not fundamentally sound on defense. We had all kinds of crazy stuff happen this year because our defense is always an adventure.

This team was loaded with talent

It didn’t perform well. Blame the players. Blame the coaches. Is what it is

This is why it’s so important to get one of the top 16 slots.

We don’t lose in the box. But it just took a few guys a bit too long to put it together.

Flip 2 series and we are in the box hosting and prepping for the supers.

Yeah the other point is that he might not be great with the talent that he has. So last year was ‘09 bama could be an example you see and others see 2012 Kentucky basketball as maybe the better comparison.

I understand, but it’s also way different than basketball where Calipari chose to have a new team every year, instead of having some program guys.

Should be awesome to see what he can do with so many vacant spots. He could have a crazy oiled machine with all new pieces come May ‘25.

You need both. You see the improvement from Jared Jones? That can be Kling or Neal or Frey next year.
