Dude is meddling too much. Too many pitching changes. Too many “matchups”. Hurd and Loer don’t need to see the bump for a while. Bunt last night with two outs but don’t bunt tonight in the 8th? Dude better nut the frick up. News flash. No one on this team is Crews, Morgan, Dugas, Jobert, Beloso. You are gonna have to manage better. That’s just facts. I have been very supportive, but he lost this game.

Bad luck ++ Stupid decisions =/= Success.

I agree, Jay does need to figure it out. Vandy made their own mistakes too, but then we decided to match them. Luck was IMO on their side between balls hit a 3' further or 3' lesser, but we still blew that game.

It's actually impressive how wrong he's been with damn near every decision he's made in SEC play.

Bunt or no bunt
Pull pitcher or keep him in
Let's go with Hurd/Loer/Little and try and get them some confidence
Shift or no shift

0 leadership. 0 clutch hits. 0 nuts. 0 backbone. Hard to watch. Even in past years we had competitive players. These dudes are freaking soft. Attitude reflects leadership, captain.

I know I’ll get downvoted but I have serious doubts about Jay. I know we won it all last year but that was one the back of two generational talents the likes we may never see again. Just don’t think the guy has it as a manager. Hes constantly outsmarting himself.

Disagree. He went to Omaha twice with Arizona before he got here. The year after winning the title was very hard for State and OM as well. Jay is the least of my worries.

Will also add while he took zona to two World Series he also missed the tournament two years in a row and possibly three had Covid not happened.

Calculator baseball has killed the MLB product and is now killing LSU. Better learn how to play at least some real baseball.

There’s hardly anyone he can trust

Can you blame him?

How do you mean?

My thought is that Jay is still learning, like we all do. He's overthinking some stuff. This game we really should have won. But, that said, I think Jay is smart enough and capable enough to learn from it. -- not sure that makes sense, but I do have trust in Jay.

So, we’re comparing LSU to Old Miss and State, now?

I know he wants to play the analytics but this religious devotion to it leaves you with holes in other areas and when things aren’t clicking and you need those things you either can’t execute, or like tonight, don’t even bother trying it. I think he’s a really good coach too but we need a little more conventional style mixed in so we can win in different ways.

That’s the head coaches job when things aren’t going right. You’d be the same sorry motherfricker over here crying and complaining if he wasn’t doing anything and rolling out the same people day in, day out.

Well he’s been tinkering all season and it isn’t working. Maybe it’s time for some stability. Last year we had 12-13 starters, this year we have 5 and a constant rotation and different lineup

You're so dumb.

Nothing more needs to be said, although I'm sure you'll say something even more dumb.
