Job has to be posted open to all applicants for at least 10 days at a public university per rosetta. So it wont be announced soon. But he says several sources speaking off the record say cannizaro has the job

Come to think of it 10 days from now would be right after the signing deadline which is usually the time Mainieri has a press conference to talk about the signing class.

from what i've read... we can't hire a non lsu grad... has to be someone with a 20 yr, .400 BA mlb career with 1 team. has to be a household name.

I know Andy he's a nice guy. His dad coached at Tulane years ago. He went up to the majors for short time but had a serious back injury.
Where was he coaching before this??
