Great shoulder pad block. Nothing dirty.

I mean I think it is a clean block, but in today’s NFL that is a penalty.

I hate it but we have seen defenders get flagged for a whole lot less.

This is why the NFL is almost unwatchable

Sorry but that was a perfect block

True but just this week we have seen defensive players get flagged for perfect form tackles and one flagged for bull rushing not offensive linemen.

If the nfl is going overboard on physicality the defensive players should get the same protection.

That was simply a good solid block. Nothing dirty about it.

Conrad Dobler would laugh at today's players as he sucked the marrow from their bones.

"Dirty" is mucking the water here. It's simple, if that hit draws a flag on a defensive player it should draw a flag from an offensive player. Its a valid and logical argument. Whether or not it should draw a flag from an offensive or defensive player is a whole other argument.

Well rightfully so. They watched Landry end a teammates career with the same type of block.

The defensive player was running left and looking right. It was only a shock because he ran straight into a blocker. Poor vision by the defensive player made that ordinary block look worse that it was.

The corner over Landry needed to be calling out the crackback.

Me too. Not only was it pretty benign, it was at the point of attack. In the interview Hyde acted as if it wasn’t part of the play

Completely agree. The 2016 hit was textbook targeting, left his feet, launched himself directly into the DBs Head so if that wasn't flagged in the game I'm sure the NFL handed down some type of penalty on the Monday after.
BUT
This latest one looked like a textbook legal hard block. The worst thing the NFL has done recently is instituting this vague and subjective "targeting" rule. I don't think ANYONE including the refs really know what's a penalty and what isn't. It's to the point where I start looking for a flag ANY TIME there's a hard hit or tackle.

NO shite. What are they pissed about?

Did the defender drop his purse? Did he get a run in his stockings? Did it knock his tampon loose? Did he smudge his lipstick?

Seriously. Maybe the guy can get a guest spot on "Ellen" so he can cry on camera about it.

Please explain, and use actual plays not just ur opinion. I don't think anyone can make a case that JL is "dirty as hell". You may be able to show a couple dirty or cheap shots here or there but I don't think you or anyone else can show enough dirty hits to establish a pattern of him being dirty as hell.

Huh? Defenders get flagged for leading with the helmet. He used his shoulder, didnt go low, and didnt go near the head. Picture perfect block.
What do you digest his penalty should have been?
