I feel a little better after watching that, Lee was hitting most passes right in the receivers hands. Just a matter of working on timing at this point

Complete - Short to Landry - Good pass, bad idea, receiver got murked

Receivers get hit right in the hands and dropped too many. Not sure WTF Gonzalez gets paid but he has not earned his check since his arrival.
Lee had a very good game considering the dropped passes.
It can only get better.
Just win out in Sept and the rest will take its course.

My take on Lee was:
- A couple of key drops
- He is pretty inaccurate. Missed a lot of easy ones.
- But the good thing, he seemed to make good decisions all night. I don't think he threw one ball that Oregon got a hand on, or could have really made a play on.

Did it look like he was throwing off of his back foot?

What set up did you use to record and edit that?

Sometimes you take what you can get. I'm sure they had guys running deeper routes, but if they're covered there's not much you can do with that. I will say that I thought the 3 & out that ended with this play was the worst series of the game for Lee. Even so, he didn't make a big mistake that cost the team, like he has sometimes done in the past, I look forward to hopefully seeing a lot of improvement next weekend.

i have an hd pvr from avermedia that connects to my pc via USB. i just record from my cable box. and i just use their standard software to edit. i would rather have the brand hauppauge tho.
i think it looks bad at times because i don't even have a graphics card, just on board graphics built into my motherboard.

such a phantom call.
but it's nice that officiating didn't hurt.
oregon sure seem undisciplined last night. another credit to miles for keeping the line penalties down and that holding call doesn't count!

Was a bs call, but PJ's hand was outside the pads. Still bs though!

Thanks for video, Lee was much better than his stats showed.

Yeah but Lonergan just kinda has his hand on his shoulder pad, not really a grab. Really not even needed or even had an impact as the guy was blocked quite well by T-bob.

Lee took a few shots last night staying in the pocket to give the receivers enough time to run their routes. Ford whiffed on the block at ~1:32 and Lee got hammered.

I believe we are all looking at Lonergan as the call was against him, but the holding did occur - it was Blackwell (#60). He took his man down. Check it again and see.

The one thing that jumps out of that Vid is that unless he improves, Beckham is NOT a very good WR. On the long hold call, there was NO excuse for him to have to fall down other than he misjudged the ball.
But the most telling was his route running. Early in the game, on the post route, his route was godawful. Rather than sensing the right depth, he literally ran his route TO the defender despite being in a position to be absolutely wide open.

What? The ball was overthrown and he made a great diving grab. No way he can run under that ball and catch it in stride. Also, he didn't run the route to the receiver, he ran where the ball was thrown. He did have a slip on one of his routes but I thought he did excellent most of the night for a true freshman.
You have no idea what you are talking about.

Every pass was off his back foot. I can't understand how this problem hasn't been fixed yet.
I do agree a few more weeks of practice and playing, we will see a lot of improvement.
