You are soooooo fricking wrong here! He got a paid education to play fricking football for LSU!

he repaid that back about 1000 fold with the amount of money and ratings he brought the program.

He actually owes LSU everything. Dude is soft, ignorant, selfish and another budding NFL head case at receiver. Good riddance.

If he had made this decision back in March I think the reaction is VERY different. But he didn’t, he made it a month before the first game, after seemingly being “all in” like a week ago. That’s what leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I have trouble believing this is about “securing his future.” If it was, again, it wouldn’t have taken him this long to decide.

It's cut and dry - you commit to something, you finish it. PERIOD. Jamar Chase is nothing more than a sign of the times we now live in.

This is why I hate college football. The fans feel some kind of ownership over the players for some reason.

If his recruitment is any indication he may be back in a week from now

So how do you think he repaid his teammates who blocked for him, his coaches who taught him (and livelihood depends on the team’s performance)? Are those people not entitled to knowing his intentions in a timely manner?

He doesn’t owe the fans anything but he owes LSU everything. They molded him into the player he is today and have him a #1 draft pick at QB and a national platform to show off his abilities. Opting out only when it benefits you the most is shitting on LSU and your teammates. It’s selfish as frick. LSU is a team sport, if everyone just looked out for themselves (which I don’t know how this decision even does that) then we wouldn’t have a team or program.

Chase gave you guys one of the best season in the history of college football. What else is there to give.

Decisions that don't hurt his teammates who want to play.

His choice not to play of course, but the timing of the announcement is shitty and self-serving.

Very dumb way of thinking. Sometimes you have to know when to cut bait and move on.

I never said that couldn’t be done. We are talking about Chase. Use the team to become the best and then leave them because it somehow benefits you to not play the season. Why does he need to train for the draft if he’s already a top 5 pick? Just think if every player used that approach. It’s backwards and selfish thinking.

Legally yes if he wants. Any agent he chooses will give him as big of a loan he wants right now

I he it was poor timing but it is what it is. Luckily we have Marshall and have others now that can step up. Look for Gilbert to play an even bigger role. Hell maybe move him to wr now. Kole Taylor can play te.

He won’t the biletnikolf award and a natty. What else is there to do other then repeat. Maybe he doesn’t want to chance an Injury. Just hope this isn’t the norm now. So players has two seasons and sits out the third.
