Sad to say but I think we are witnessing the end of his football career.
Damned shame really.

I think he needed one more year of college football. He wasn't ready and just wanted the $

His career ended the second he was drafted by the Raiders.

Should have tried to pull an Elway/Eli. Probably wouldn't have worked though.

I always wonder what the 2007 season wouldve been like had he stayed. Probably still won the NC and only one loss instead of two. It takes about five years for someone to REALLY mature into a TRUE NFL QB. Lets give him some time.

Is anything wrong with that. Isn't that what we all want? We want to put ourselves in position for the big payday.

Any NFL team knows Jamarcus is blessed with natural talent that needs development..the Raiders do not have a clue and he is regressing

He would have been stupid not to go as the number 1 pick.

You can only play the "terrible team" card for so long. Regardless, it's still the NFL and the guys are professionals. It's not like he's trying to compete in the NFL with a high school team. There's no excuse for the numbers he puts up.

I agree. It would have been beyond stupid.

Quit blaming the raiders. Al Davis isn't the one overthrowing receivers.
JR has underestimated how much work it takes to polish your game enough to make it in the NFL. he thought it would come as easy as it did at LSU.
He'll be on his way out as soon as Al can afford another QB worth a flip.

You think Sam Bradford is kicking himself right now??

If y'all remeber Jeff garcia was in Camp for the raiders this year and daute culpepper last year.
On anther note lets compare JR's progress to matt leinart and vince young. Both have been replaced by older and wiser veterans (Warner and Collins respectively.
Becoming an NFL QB takes time. The two recent exceptions to the rule are Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. Bot are anomalies.

Stafford and Sanchez haven't looked too bad either.
Some players get it and some don't JR is in the "don't" area.

Amen. I remember telling a friend that very thought the day he was drafted. What has happened in Oakland is no surprise at all. Jamarcus needed to go to a team which could provide him with solid coaching and stability to have any chance of having a solid NFL career. That was never going to happen in Oakland.

Oakland needs an O-Line Bad

QB makes OL look better and vice versa, same with recievers and a QB.
Russell looks like he has regressed so much from end of last year.

bullshite to this and many of the other post in this thread. JM is on the worst freaking offensive line team in the NFL. And the stupid owner is so freaking stupid that they don't even realize it and wont even spend all their draft pics on the line.
The Raiders line flat out sucks and nobody could have even have average numbers on such a sucky team as the raiders. NOBODY!
