That's a lot more plausible than the original story where he had no incentive/motive.
I suspect the real story is maybe somewhere in the middle, charges will be lowered or dropped, end of story

I have seen Mills side of the story play out way more often in a fight than the girls side. Id venture to say the truth is closer to Mills being in the middle and the girl got hit in the heat of the scrap.

Hopefully, the facts will come out properly and justice will be served. It certainly does not look good at this point. However, am I the only one who thinks the bigger issue is that this kid will be damaged regardless of the outcome? Same as JJ with the bar room brawl. These kids need to be hammered on the concept that they're potentially risking their career and millions of dollars by not walking away from these off the field confrontations.
