Cautiously optimistic... But O doesn’t get to make this hire by his lonesome. SW AND the BOS will be part of the hiring process and interviewing candidates

O has already said he is promoting Calloway to an infield coach. Would have to assume QB coach or OC. So actually the others are competing for one job?

I doesn’t get to make that choice by himself... and if you get Mangas, there’s an odd man out between him and Callaway. Odds say Mangas isn’t coming back to be an analyst

Peetz himself left the NFL twice for college analyst positions. Perhaps he is selling Mangas on that path.

I really hope Slinger is getting some input on this. If anyone has proven he will make the decision he knows is best for the program it is him. Football guy to the core.

I’m assuming OC for Peetz and analyst for Magas.
It’s not likely Coach O or E will pass on giving Russ Callaway a nice promotion. I know Coach E chose to stay on as a analyst and I’m glad he’s staying around to mentor, but he is gonna have input on these hirings! Russ Callaway is still in the game. Coaches and players know his talent. He’ll be PGC or QB Coach.

Wasn't Calloway already promoted to an On-field role as reported by SI?
