Call me crazy, but guys who post stuff like this, dont watch MAAC baseball

“The wheels are coming off. Don't be surprised if they travel to a regional again. They could lose each of the last series, including USCe. There's no fire or swagger in this team.”

Meh if we're being honest Tennessee dominated the first two games. LSU didn't earn the win Friday, Tennessee gave it.

On Sunday, credit to Casan for steadying the ship after the 1st and holding down the best lineup we'll face this year. Curiel was a stud but a lot of our offensive momentum was also self inflicted damage from Tennessee. Ton of walks and they were clearly out of arms.

No, if we’re being honest, LSU gave Tennessee Game 2 every bit as much as Tennessee gave LSU Game 1. Excluding the 6-1 innings, the score of the other 16 innings was 5-2. That’s not “dominating”. And let’s be clear that a series is 3 games for a reason and the fact that there was a Game 3 is why Evans didn’t pitch in 1 or 2 and Cowan only threw 13 pitches. You think that maybe had something to do with the score of Game 2? And Tennessee using up their pitching maybe had something to do with holding LSU down in G1 and G2, then getting hammered in G3? You can’t pretend Game 3 isn’t part of the equation.

They outhit us 2 to 1 through the first 2 games homie. While their Fri/Sat starters completely handcuffed our lineup.

And Game 2 was not that close...they ran us off our own field if we're being honest

Thank God for the Sunday meltdown by the staff they had remaining. Not to mention that it took a miracle after 2 errors in the 9th on Fri to be able to get that win to be able to get the series

I'll take luck, but let's not pretend that we outplayed them last weekend

Score that matters. 2-1 in games won. We also outscored them last weekend as well.

Both of these are serious issues that has plagued Tennessee significantly this season. I wouldn’t call them a miracle more than “that’s how Tennessee plays baseball.” Again the point you tried to make disproves your point. Pretty impressive lol.

How'd they give it? Did Tony make a mistake by putting the wrong player at 3B? Or did Tony make a mistake by pitching to Jones?

What about team defense? Tennessee is one of the worst fielding teams in the conference. Seems like something Tony doesn't really focus too much on.

Or, did Jay just recruit better players? Which one is it?

Lol you were bitching about Evans and Jay "baptizing his freshman" in the first inning. It's also statistically not the best offense we will face this year.

Curiel was a stud
Jay got himself a good one.

but a lot of our offensive momentum was also self inflicted damage from Tennessee.
LSU scored a total of 3 runs off of walked batters, and one of those was an intentional walk in Jones.

Huh, why were they out of arms? I thought Tony and Frank crafted the best staff in college baseball? How did LSU have arms left? They had both played two games in the series, and LSU used more arms on both Friday and Saturday. That's pretty odd.

Good thing we played them in a 3 game series. We also smacked their closer around. You can pretend the Frey error was some weak ground ball through the wickets but that's ruled a hit the majority of the time.

And Game 2 was not that close...they ran us off our own field if we're being honest
Game 2 was a 1 run game in the 8th inning and LSU was a misplayed ball away from going into the bottom half down 4-2. The only time anybody was ran out of anywhere was when we run ruled them on Sunday. Lying again.
quote:

Thank God for the Sunday meltdown by the staff they had remaining.
Meltdown? Staff they had remaining? Tony pulled his starter after 1.2 innings, brought in one of his best left handed relievers only to give up a double to Curiel, then proceeded to take him out after one batter only to then give up a home run to another left handed hitter in Brown. It was an embarassing display of coaching.
quote:

Not to mention that it took a miracle after 2 errors in the 9th on Fri to be able to get that win to be able to get the series
Maybe Tony shouldn't have been tinkering with the lineup and putting a 2nd basemen at 3rd base, only to have him cost his team the biggest game of their season.
quote:

I'll take luck, but let's not pretend that we outplayed them last weekend

We outhit them, outscored them, run ruled them, and won the series. They had one good offensive inning all weekend. You're embarrassing yourself.

Remember when you said that "Tony signs players, Jay signs numbers" and Jay's freshman carried the team, while Tony's freshman went hitless and got shelled?

It made me lol when someone said last week that once Sheerin comes back he can just replace Cowan in the bullpen so Cowan can be the #3 starter

Since we're all in here derailing this thread feeding the troll, I'll throw this in there. Since we allegedly "only won Friday because Tenn gave it to us by means of their mistakes", 2 of their 3 runs came as the result of wild pitches setting up the runner to be able to score on a hit that otherwise wouldn't have, ergo by troll logic we "gifted" them 2 runs and apparently removed Tennesse's agency in scoring them. It's almost as if you can be fortunate to have your opponent make mistakes, but also have to seize the opportunity to take advantage (also ignoring the agency of the opponent trying to stop you from doing so). Tenn had opportunities through the Friday game with plenty enough runners on to blow it open but couldn't. If LSU had stranded a bunch of runners en route to a loss I suspect we'd hear no end from our merry band of resident trolls on the deficiencies of our players and coaches. At the end of the game and the series for that matter, LSU won, Tennessee lost. Allow me to employ a bit of troll logic as i declare that LSU "dominated" Tennessee this past weekend.
