Talking about how the Wisconsin game ended and a little bit about that whole season.
quote:

I literally tried to throw it away, cleat just got stuck the wrong way and short armed it.

quote:

I really didn't feel like I had the backing of people who I thought I should've had the backing of, in terms of the people that coach you. There wasn't any support about that whole entire situation.

quote:

I felt at times we were calling the game so different in comparison to when [Danny Etling] was in the game or if I was in the game and just make it seem like it was a Brandon Harris issue, which it wasn't.

This just feels like more validation that Les was losing his grip on the program as a whole during his last few years. Always liked Brandon Harris, just wish his career had gone a little better.

What qb with a terrible career doesn't make excuses for himself?

Les definitely lost his grip on the team, but a QB who got benched saying that is not really any validation.

Harris was a shite QB, plain and simple.

I've always thought he was an overrated drama queen thats out of touch. These quotes validate that.

Exactly! Which is why he went to UNC and lit up the ACC...

He's got to grow out of this victimhood phase.

I cant really blame a player when countless at the position turned out the same way. Its hard for me at this point not to point the finger at Les. Same shite, different year, different Qb. As much as you like Brandon, maybe he was not prime for the SEC, but that falls on Les as well.

Harris had a poor work ethic in college by all accounts and deserves his share of the blame. However, the offense miles was asking him to run was damn near impossible for anyone to succeed in. I view Harris no different than Jefferson or Jennings. Those guys were given little to no help from the offensive play calling.

Ok that's fair but can we put that in perspective.

JRoc and Flynn not recruited by Les, he lucked the frick out w those two.

Mett - I remember reading all of the recruiting boards praying we would get Mett because we'd be fricked otherwise.

I loved Les but I have to be realistic.

Russell and Mettenberger each had one good season, I wouldn't say their careers were that good. Piles handicapped JRuss in the two biggest games of 2006 (losses to Auburn and Florida) though with his retardo game plans

See there is a pattern here. None of these qbs were recruited or developed by Les.

All I see is a guy making excuses for his poor play.
The kid left LSU and went to play for another coach who was reputed to be offensive minded and he failed to produce. Harris needs to give it a rest.

So? He and his staff still had more of an impact on them than Saban did.

Well, yeah... that's kind of how recruiting works.

If Orgeron didn't get Burrow, we would've been fricked the last 2 seasons.

bullshite. You didn't see the linebacker and everybody knows it.

Well, you weren't accurate and couldn't make reads. Sounds like the coaches held you accountable.

It 1000% was. You weren't accurate.

This piece by Jacques really chaps my arse. Brandon Harris sucked. Les had his faults, but he doesn't deserve to have the local paper trot out crap like this. Les cant even defend himself.

They should have simplified the offense for him rather than Cam Cameron's mess. He ran the 2 minute offense better than the rest of the game.

Fit the offense around the players you have.

Word on the street was BH has terrible anxiety. Practiced like a champ but was a totally different player under pressure

Fedora is a coach with a solid QB system and history, yet Harris sucked at UNC too despite facing crap ACC defenses. Great physical talent but clearly lacked the intangibles

100% this. Les’ dumb arse trying to fit a square peg into a round hole....repeatedly. Harris’ first live game experience vs Miss St was almost an amazing come from behind win. Hurry up, no huddle Offense in shotgun that Harris thrived in and then never ran anything close to it the rest of the time he was here. And then Les starts him at Jordan-Hare, set him up to fail and it was Jarret Lee all over again. Harris certainly had his shortcomings but Les did zero to help him and even less to use him appropriately.
