Maybe for a couple of games.. like a midweek game and a Friday. Let him sit and think. It's really to where you just have to play him based on that potential he still has three years later.
Plus he just looks cool playing baseball. /homo

But he had good at bats and was more selective at the plate

There was a similar (only dumber) suggestion made about Blake Dean during one of his early season lulls.
TBird was vocal in the bench Blake Dean threads.

He is hitting the crap out of the ball right at players. At some point that will change, but I would say let him stay in and work it out. He's not whiffing and grounding out lightly to first base.

Except when he strikes out. He leads the team in Ks.

I think he'd already be out of the lineup if it weren't for his increase of walks.
even with as good he has been at 2B.

He grounded out pretty lightly on a bad swing at a bad pitch. Flied out pretty lightly. Also whiffed on two bad pitches up at his chest when he struck out.

I agree Lester.

You might be right. But I think the walks won't be there later in the year when the pitching he faces gets better. His rocket foul balls will have to find some gaps in the field.

At what point in time do you sit a guy for a game or two to let him clear his head and get a fresh start?
When your team isn't 23-2 second in the nation and on a pretty hot streak

I feel bad for the kid. Hit a hot shot right at the 3rd baseman early on in the game, and then, with the bases loaded, drops one right on the right field line that they called foul. Thats 2 well hit balls again tonight.

I am not pulling against him Josh and I hope he starts hitting. I want to go back to Omaha. I just don't know that 1.5 seasons of subpar hitting can be called a slump or attributed to bad baseball luck.
I do think that he is doing a good job of not pouting about his misfortune at the plate so far this year.

I dont think he is a .320 hitter either, but he can definitely be better than he has been
