The football IQ on this site is embarrassing. Anyone who thinks JD sucked is a moron. Score should have been 17 - 7 LSU at the half. Play calling was ridiculous with long routes and only 3 seconds before Dline in his face. Once they adjusted and went to 3 second drop and no huddle we started moving the ball. Coaches waited to long to make the adjustment but they did make it. 3rd and long on defense was our weakness and they will have to fix that but JD was not the problem in the first half. Blocked FG and extra point? Dropped passes or no catch at all on 2 TD's. Not JD's fault. He played well enough to win. They will fix what needs to be fixed and we can judge based on Miss St game but anyone saying JD sucked is an idiot.

All of them. Every person on these forums was advocating for Brennan, from calling Burrow an OSU wash-up, to falsifying 40 times, to saying Burrow "didn't have an arm." It was ludacris. LSU has the whiniest fanbase on the planet. It's pathetic.

Officially a QB isn’t credited with a win unless he starts the game.

How many college starts did Burrow have before start against Miami (top 10 ranking at the time of game along with their turnover chain)? How many passing attempts did he have in college career before Miami? How many of those weren’t in 2nd half mop up duty?When did he arrive on campus at LSU and start practicing with the team?

Comparing 1st games at LSU between one guy who hadn’t started since high school, had thrown only 39 passes in college in mop up duty, and didn’t arrive until summer with someone who was a starter for 3 seasons, arrived in time for Spring practice, and even though under a different coach with different players wasn’t even Daniels first start against FSU much less his first start is problematic.

Game against Miami was also different from start including being a true neutral stadium in another state.

LSU was up 20-3 with 5 minutes left in first half before going up 27-3 at half after a pick 6. Up 33-3 at end up of 3rd quarter. Circumstances were entirely different for 4th quarter which is when Daniels played really well and put up most of passing stats.

Even with a win against Miami in 2018 Burrow had critics. I can remember some questioning if Burrow was the answer for next 2 seasons. Many weren’t sure he would physically make it through season in SEC as for a qb he didn’t avoid contact as much as he should have and blocking wasn’t good in that game (due to predictability of offense and lack of tempo). They liked his toughness but didn’t think his arm talent or running ability could make enough of a difference against Bama which was correct in 2018’s offense. Only other option in 2018 was Brennon who was redshirting after playing some in 2017 his true freshman year. Brennon was even skinnier back then, so there was hope he would put on weight, develop more, and with his stronger arm be true competition to start in 2019.
