Burrow definitely sucked his first LSU game, but the team didn't.

Let's compare their first game stats in an LSU uniform. How does Jayden compare to the GOAT? I find this interesting to say the least.

2018 vs Miami - Final Record 7-6

J. Burrow 11 for 24, 45.8%, 0 TD, 0 INT, 94.8 QB Rating, 4 Rushes, 14 Yds, 3.5 ypc

2022 vs Fla St - Final Record ????

J. Daniels 26 for 35, 74.3%, 2 TD, 0 INT, 143.3 QB Rating, 16 Rushes, 114 Yds, 7.1 ypc

Many on here thinks Jayden sucked on Sunday night. I wonder what people were saying about Joe Burrow.

Now do Brandon Harris 1st game as an LSU starter.

We have over 30 games to judge Jayden off of.
That was Burrow first game starting as a QB.

Not sure what your point is. I thought Daniels played a heck of a game and I actually am excited to see what else he does this year. But they lost a winnable game.

It was the same reason I was sick of hearing Brennan's 3 game stats. I don't care about the stats when we're losing to Miss St and Missouri.

But in fact it was Mike Denbrock having our receivers run 20 yd routes every play for 3 quarters
Truth is, JD doesn't look very accurate on hot/short routes.

In what fricking world would someone say Daniels had a bad game? He only had maybe two bad throws, didn’t turn the ball over, and literally put the team on his back for what should have been the game tying 99 yard drive.

Daniels and Burrow don't belong in the same sentence together.

@ everyone saying that it's not a fair comparison due to starts.

All these fricks also wanted a 2x quitter to start QB for their Tigers.

I'd rather not throw Nuss into the conversation, but that would make their points even more laughable considering how many starts he's had.

At this point in time, how can you say this?

Comparing Jefferson 2.0 to The goat is ludicrous

As is comparing Daniels to Jefferson. Jefferson only once completed more than 70% of his passes with at least 20 attempts. He only accounted for 3 TDs in a game 3 times in over 30 chances. He only once rushed for over 100 yards and never as many as 114. (And that came in a game in which he passed for 30 yards and threw 2 INTs.) He threw INTs in 10 of the 16 games in which he had at least 20 attempts. He never once had over 300 yards of total offense. You put all those pieces together and Jefferson never came close to the stat line and performance Daniels put up.

Daniel’s is nowhere near burrow’s caliber. You can throw that thought out. Daniel’s will be lucky to make it to the 6th game .Running in the SEC will get you killed.

Right, cause Burrow wasn't a runner.

You're getting what others say mixed up. They are saying Daniels is a "run first" QB. While that isn't necessarily false, he was a "run for your life" QB Sunday.

You need to understand the difference or explain yourself better.

LSU was so starved for good QB play in 2018, grown men shed tears of joy when Burrow called an audible to a rushing play that Nick Brosette took to the house.

Nobody knew Burrow would be the GOAT, but he showed that he knew the game.

I didn’t see anything from Daniels that proved that he knew the game. Fantastic physical tools. Adequate awareness. I hope he improves.
