I hear you Tiger1988 but if you recall we played really close games at beginning of season where we has to keep scoring because defense couldnt get stops. (Aranda trying to practice zone coverage) so brennan couldnt come in. They tried but then Burrow would have to come in and get more points. It sucks because if D wasnt injured and played well beginning of year brennan probably has more playtime.

It just worked better cause burrow had a better grasp of the offense and they blocked the plays better.
I saw the same plays as last year, they just weren't blocked

It's because Burrow made the proper presnap protection adjustments. If he didn't or simply wanted to take advantage of an extra rusher, he knew the ball needed to come out quickly or that he needed be accountable for that free defender by moving in the pocket away from that defender.

Because he extended plays by scrambling and moving out of the pocket. Such a misleading stat lol.

no. Longer in pocket time than anyone.

There are threads on it. He was frozen

The kid took 7 sacks and 2 ints. That’s 9 negative plays.

The Rantards will never admit they were wrong about Pelini so Brennan is going to get the blame for everything this season. Doesn’t matter that the Oline couldn’t pass protect or run block it’s Brennan’s fault. These people are delusional.

I actually agree with you here.

I’m still riding with Brennan. I think he’ll improve in a hurry and a lot of folks will be shocked how well he ends up playing.

4 years? 2017-2018-2019 thats 3, he has to complete this year to make it 4, why exaggerate? Oh I know why to pile on meaning this is a biased smear not an objective assessment.

There’s no need to to pile anything just look at the game tape, he sucked

The problem is he doesn't do it consistently. That comes with playing time. See Joe Burrow 2018.
nope.

The reason Burrow didn’t have better stats in 2018 was because it’s was E’s terrible offense. This year’s offense is supposed to be similar to 2019, not 2018.

He had so many missed opportunities. Reminded me of Jordan Jefferson.

but its pretty rare for a quarterback to look good in their first SEC start.

623 yards from MSU begs to differ.

Scoring 24 on miss state is disappointing. Their fans were saying their defense wasn’t going to be any good The offense made them look very good.

Lol. If either Brennan or the defense had played well for even 3 quarters, LSU would have won the game. O rightly called out coaching, defense, O-line AND QB.

Nope. You are incorrect. The subject line was about the QB.

Defense game plan was ok. No adjustments lead to big plays my MissSt over and over. It was stupid not to adjust. Leech has been running the same offense for three decades yet BoP said “I ain’t got time for that shite” and stuck to his plan through out the game.

Offense stinks. Every phase was lacking from coaching, QB, RB, WR, TE and o-line. QB looked unprepared, QB could not settle down or adjust, QB can’t make a decision, he was off on passes more than on, he looked scared and low energy, WR and TE dropping key passes, o-line and TE did not block well.

Pound for pound and star for star LSU has more Talent than MissSt. It’s a shame that our coaches could not figure that out.

Trust me. This kid isn't the answer. He just doesn't have "it."

I will admit I was wrong about Pelini....still doesn't mean Aranda was the answer. However, I would rather have Aranda. I admit that....there.

It wasn’t a great performance but he is at least capable of putting up some numbers. I mean have we forgotten having QBs was hat couldn’t even keep yesterday respectable?

Sucks we lost a game, but we got an investment in the guy and we need to give him more than one game to see if we can win a championship with him.

The coaching on the other hand was suspect in nearly every area. Thin at CB.
