He wasn't throwing a bunch of interceptions. Of course Brennan could have done better but its pretty rare for a quarterback to look good in their first SEC start.

I thought the coaching was horrible. They should have tried establishing a running game in order to open up the passing game. The running game would have also kept Mississippi States offense off the field.

The defensive coaching was just as bad as the offense. Did they make any half-time adjustments?

Been with the program 4 years and looked like a deer in headlights, ask the wide open receivers that were waving their arms open if he had a great game

Just because a QB doesn't throw a bunch of picks, isn't an indication he played well either. The majority of Brennan's pre & post snap reads were garbage & his accuracy was inconsistent.

The o line didn't help
When Brennan has a clean pocket he can deliver but his reads are very slow

Brennan had more time to throw than any other QB in the SEC

It wasn’t so much “bad” as it was frustrating. There were open receivers everywhere and he holds the ball a second too long every time. Then he runs into pressure and gets sacked.

The Rantards will never admit they were wrong about Pelini so Brennan is going to get the blame for everything this season. Doesn’t matter that the Oline couldn’t pass protect or run block it’s Brennan’s fault. These people are delusional.

It was a total team failure outside of special teams. There's plenty of blame to go around.

It’s actually the other way around

No.
Dare let free rushers at least 3 times, where he didn't even block anyone

Hines had a couple like thay also

Now that’s some serious gaslighting

That's because Brennan failed to recognize the A gap blitz presnap & change the protections at the line of scrimmage. You're football IQ is low.

I agree with all that.
Some is on Brennan also.

Please explain how you would've changed the play calling

That is correct, and he hit 72 percent of his passes when got the ball out in three seconds.

The problem is he doesn't do it consistently. That comes with playing time. See Joe Burrow 2018.

If anyone thinks Brennan was that bad yesterday, then they’ve clearly forgotten some of the Lee, Harris, Jennings, Jefferson, and evening Etling play.

Was Brennan great? No. Not at all. But his play in the second half gave us something to work with.

In an absolute sense no but this is a guy who’s been around 4 years and we want him to lead us in relevance next year. So in that sense it was a pretty bad performance because he played like a freshman.

A lot of different offensive coordinators in those four years and with limited game time experience.

The formation variations were non existent and there were certain plays we ran all year long last season that I didn’t see once yesterday. The running plays were the same over and over called in the same situations over and over and we had no change up type plays to break the monotony. I’ve been a Cowboys fan my whole life so I’ve seen Linehan in action before and it looked like his vanilla shite we were running yesterday.

You know you get better at recognizing these things by getting more game experience right? Your football IQ seems pretty nonexistent to me

4 years? 2017-2018-2019 thats 3, he has to complete this year to make it 4, why exaggerate? Oh I know why to pile on meaning this is a biased smear not an objective assessment.
