Burrow went the frick off this year.

He is a significantly bigger threat running the football and plays on a team with a significantly better oline, running game, and defense.
Burrow is better in every single facet of the passing game. I love Daniels, and he brings a lot to the table, but Burrow is the better QB.

It’s so close. Burrow if he had the oline that Jayden has would be like nothing this league has ever seen. That’s the separation right now. Jayden would have to get sacked the next 2 years by record numbers to equal how many times Burrow has been sacked. But Daniels is smart and throws such an accurate ball I’m not saying he’s not him. Just comparing apples to oranges. I pray Burrow leaves the bengals shitty franchise then we’ll see.

Crazy how the roles have changed. Burrow is doing all he can with the Bengals with absolutely no help from his defense while Daniels did all he could at LSU with no help from his defense.

Since this is a low-key "Opportunity To Praise Daniels" thread, I will without stepping on Joe.
What I saw clearly tonight that I hadn't realized before was specifically watching Detroit's LBers indirectly open up lanes/zones for Washington's receivers or RBs time after time bc Detroit's LBs were in the box (or blitzing) worried about Jayden running free.
Just JD being on the field is a threat that changes coverages/defensive gameplans and there's not an official stat JD gets for that, well, other than a W.

Burrow on a competent team would be in the SB. Both are absolutely amazing and its too soon to say JD > Joe in the NFL

Would be a much closer argument if JD had anything resembling a defense while at LSU. I think it’s currently Burrow but JD has a chance to have a better career when it’s all said and done because he just might have the clutch gene. You either have it or you don’t and the playoffs is when it comes into play.

Im conflicted.. i love both.. on one hand i think that if Jayden wins the Super Bowl this year, an argument could be made that he’s a better pro QB than Joe…. But otoh i have always been adamant that “Super Bowls are not a QB stat” since you have to rely on 52 other guys, it’s not like an elite bball player like James or MJ where one guy can carry the other 4 to a title…. It’s the exact reason i put Drew Brees as the #1 quarterback in NFL history…. He only got one ring, but he has almost all the stats, some were equaled or bettered by P Manning and T Brady, but Drew did it all while being A HALF FOOT SHORTER than those other two guys.. so to me you have to give Drew the edge… my #2 all time QB in NFL history, for similar reasons (SBs are not a QB stat)- is Danny Marino .

The truth is...
They've flipped flopped in the pros vs college.
In college, Burrow had a better defense with that explosive, amazing offensive. That allowed him to win the chip undefeated.
In college, Daniel had an explosive offensive that SHOULD HAVE allowed him to go undefeated and win a chip but he has a horrible defense.
In the pros, it's the complete opposite.
Burrow is the one with the explosive offense that SHOULD go further or make the playoffs but he has a horrible defense.
Daniels have the explosive, amazing offense with the better defense to compliment to win games.
I think if Daniels defense was ANYTHING similar to Burrows defense LSU wins the chip. I also think that if Burrow had the Washington defense Burrow is in the playoffs and who knows...
However at the end of the day, Daniels legs set them apart for me. Burrow will carve you up throwing the ball. Daniels can do both!

You could literally say this same thing about daniels at LSU. Daniels with a competent defense wins the chip EASILY....
Kelly dropped the ball with daniels. Kelly may have missed his championship window. They say LSU has a championship team every 3 years. They had one in daniels and mismanaged it!

Really? They're 2 totally different style qbs. If I had a choice between the two of them right now, I would take burrow without hesitation.
