re: It's time for Dugas to go back to being the leadoff hitter so we can win a championship.

I wouldn't be mad at that either. I definitely think Tre should be ahead of either White, or both. He's a great contact hitter and is seeing the ball really well. I just think He's wasting away behind white and Crews because he's not the most effective at producing RBIs.

Tre has been on fire. Without his de, this conversation doesn't even exist.

Dugas
Morgan
Crews
White
Beloso
Thompson
Jobert
Milazzo
Pearson

Play with Milazzo and Pearson at 8 and 9 because I think they're at least giving you solid at bats, and then Thompson and Jobert at 6 and 7.

When our offense was at it's best, Dugas was hitting leadoff. Obviously, when he was fresh off the injury, it made sense to eventually drop him because you could see the issues he was having at the plate, almost immediately after the injury.

I would not be shocked if Jay makes this move but TBH the move really doesn't do anything if the bottom of the lineup doesn't have some production. The top 5 have been productive to this point, its been the bottom of the lineup that needs to come up with a timely hit.

We have been used to either Pearson, Thompson, or Jobert coming up with a big hit. Travinski before he got hurt also kept coming up big as well. Need production from the bottom of the lineup more than we need to switch Dugas from the cleanup spot to leadoff.

I've been saying this for a while. There's really no argument. The stats prove it.

The stats show to go with what he’s been doing, which gets Crews and Thompson more at bats. Those 2 were up in the 11th of the 2nd Wake Forest game

Those are great points as well.

It's a tough decision, no doubt.

That's when the wind was blowing in. Our game has to change with it blowing out.

We’ve had 1 bad game (yesterday) in 7 in Omaha. We don’t need to change anything. Roll with it and bring home the strap.

You nailed it. We stack the lineup and it puts a lot of pressure on pitchers, gets pitch counts up quickly sometimes like yesterday… but once pitchers get past that part of the lineup it’s basically been a free inning unless one of them walks or bloops.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Dugas at the top of the order today. I’ll take Crews getting 5 ABs instead of 6 if it means we don’t strand the bases loaded multiple times.

This predates Omaha.

Stranding the bases loaded has been a theme this CWS. We’ve had some timely solo home runs & defensive plays to get us here, but there have been a handful of games we should have run away with but didn’t.

We had a shot to beat wake forest and get through our bracket in 3-4 games instead of 5, same issue in that game.

I was really hoping Kling developed a little bit more this year so he could be in LF and Jobert stay in RF. Without Kling's offensive potential its prevented this offense from being where it could be...I do think Jay gets him to an All-SEC level for next season just would have been nice if developed a little quicker to be in the lineup and give production to the bottom of the lineup.

So, you're saying keep the same lineup so Crews can get left in the on deck circle again?
I'm not going to argue with a moron, if you can't see that logic then I feel bad for you.

Been saying this since the 2nd game. Dugas is back to his old self. Should be leading off. He's been the most consistent at the plate in Omaha.

i would like the change, but we all know JJ is not going to change it for the last game of the year.

Calling me names because you can't argue with my position logically.

It's ok.
