You do realize that we were top 3-4 in the SEC in pitching right? Even though he completely fricked up the starting rotation from day 1. It takes a lot of talent to cover that up.

Talent? What pitching staff have you been watching this season.
This team has no starting pitching, it’s amazing they finished fourth in the conference without a single legit SEC SP.
This pitching staff is NOT talented. Basically a handful of “Sunday guys”, if that. Actually it’s one of the worst starting rotations we’ve had in probably 20 years.

Well agree to disagree there. I do realize we are top 3-4 in the SEC. I just see it as pretty impressed by how they handled the lack of talent. Although there’s only so much you can do before if comes back to bite you. I’m not her how else we could have structured the rotation to be better. We just don’t have enough bodies.

Talent??? Poor pitching all year... where's the talent??? Hitting good at times with 3-4 guys who are consistent and clutch... Defense really pretty bad! this game all fell apart when cleanup hitter (Thompson batting cleanup!?) strikes out with the bases loaded and could have broken the scoring open! That's not a whole lot of talent in my book!

You can absolutely structure a staff to achieve maximum results. I’m talking about bullpen structure. We do not have the shutdown for 7 innings types that put a huge relief on a bullpen. So we’ve had to structure our pen as such. The only problem is we’ll have games where they just break because of it. Our lack of starting rotation pitching talent is felt and has been felt all season.

Ok but he screwed the rotation up. Didn’t want Hilliard to begin with but had to elevate him out of panic, gave up on Floyd way too early, misused Money and never gave anyone else a legitimate look or chance. That’s on him, there was time to get it adjusted and he was hard headed.

He improved LSU’s SEC record with a starting rotation that would be middle of the pack in the sunbelt. He also has a very good recruiting class lined up
