Actually there are plenty but they are overshadowed by his mistakes. Is this really news? Everyone should know by now JJ will be the starter week 1.

JL isn't going anywhere. JJ could have a horrible start and JL could bring us up. You never know. Although I do put my money on JJ starting most of the season if not all with some play time from JL.

If he transfers he loses a year of eligibility. He could very well be starting the second game of the schedule if JJ looks like dog poop or gets hurt. Why transfer? WHY?
We need to take a fine tooth comb and weed out the dumbasses in our fanbase.

b/c he wants to get significant playtime and he likely won't get it the next few years with the possible players taking snaps. He can't wait around and see if someone gets hurt. JJ isn't a senior, so if JJ performs Lee won't see the field. By then it could be too late to get into a good system, gain some experience, and showcase his abilities to NFL scouts. I'm sure the thought has at least crossed his mind. There's an incoming freshman that also may be able to pass him up. Not really complicated.

MastrShake, that is completely uncalled for. I'm pretty sure most of us expected that Jefferson would be named the starter (including me), so couldn't you have left it at that. He was a freshman, and freshmen make mistakes. If it was easy then we would see freshmen all over the country just step in and take over like they did in high school. He had a tremendous burden to step to replace a fifth-year senior that just won a national championship. He played poorly at times, okay, very poorly at times, but he also did some good things. I'm sure you were an outstanding QB sometime in your life, so I won't question your credentials to pass such judgment, but let's please put last year behind us and support ALL of our team.

Just to clarify, the season starts with 2-a-days, not UW. Lee has all of preseason to supplant Jefferson as the starter. I don't think Lee will start vs UW, but he could, should he have a better summer than Jefferson. Les and Crowton will be reassessing this situation daily.
