Monroe does usually play special teams. However, if I’m not mistaken, he has had a significant injury that sidelined him pretty much every year. He’s had some bad luck.
Let’s see if he plays special teams this week or if he’s a scratch for the game.

Monroe was one of my favorites recruits coming. Sucks injuries have slowed his LSU career down

Well that came out of nowhere. Haven't seen him all year, and all of a sudden he's next man up for Delpit.

Kinda cool, though. Interested to see what kind of ball skills he has, considering his super-athlete status.

I know it’s not great news that Delpit is hurt but I think it’s great news that they trust this kid enough to start him. I can’t wait to see this kid play!!

Its good that Delpit can rest and heal. Hope he plays well enough that we don't need Delpit until the championship game.

This doesn’t do anything but help us for the future. Arky won’t be able to keep up this weekend - no matter the coach.

Delpit is gone after this year. Lewis or Monroe are ok, but unless they make significant progress in the offseason, they don’t have the upside of what Mo can do.

So geeked for the future of this team. Geaux freakin’ Tigahs!

He seems slow in decision making and hasn't mastered the playbook. Got to be a student of the game.

I mean, I’ve seen a lot of Lewis in. Has Hampton played that much?

I’m excited, but it seems like that came out of nowhere.

Probably an upgrade the way Delpit's been playing. I know he's been hurt, and this isn't a slam on him.

I don't know if this is more about Hampton's development or just a statement to where we are with the health/capabilities of other guys. I hope this is all about Hampton being ready but I don't think that's really what this is.
