It’s Sully. Just got the text from a coach that’s connected to PM.

He also mentioned Slosh as fall back.

I approve of this message.....along side having the mega-crutch recruiting advantage of Vandy.
I could put together some solid records at Vandy

Watch Florida hire Vitello if Woodward takes O'Sullivan.

This is my exact fear I was coming to post....

I want Vitello. I don’t know which teams and programs he would leave for, but I’d feel disgusted if we take O’Sullivan (don’t want) and then they get him.

I wouldn’t.

Almost scary to think what he could build at Florida.

Florida has 3 or 4 very good baseball programs that O’Sullivan fought off and got a previous meh Florida program to the top, the comparisons to Mainieri are very short sighted.

He's 52. How much fire does he have left?

I never liked him. But a decent choice if true. Not my first choice by a bit

PM was still in his 40s when he came to LSU. O'S is a strong candidate, but hiring an older replacement doesn't seem like the best idea with kids these days.

That’s a fair position, and I think shared by most.

The ones that are over-the-top opposed to an O’Sullivan hire are being ridiculous. He’s easily one of the top CBB coaches in the nation currently.

I get the sentiment by many that we want young, new energy, up-and-comer, but I totally disagree with the notion that O’Sullivan is an average/bad hire.

There is plenty enough talent in just LA and FL to win championships.
Well yeah. But there’s a lot more of it in Florida, so much so that his current rosters are built exclusively on it. Does he know how to manage the 11.7 when he has to go out of state for a large percentage of his roster? Maybe he does and wouldn’t miss a beat, but to assume he’s just going to land the same amount of talent here that he has at Florida is a mistake.

I’m a Bakich convert.

Give that guy LSU’s resources and fan support and he’ll build a juggernaut.

And yes, early forties is the ideal age.

Paul is 63. Born in 1957

He started at LSU in 2007

That makes him 49/50 when he started.

Only LSU fans could crap on hiring Florida’s baseball coach with a massive track record of success. Good grief.

O'Sullivan is a Pulmonary clone. Big greasy fart by Woodward if true.

He’s only brought UF to the CWS semifinals 4 times in the last 10 years. That’s all.

It’s what makes our baseball fanbase great and unbearable at the same time. Most schools fanbases wouldn’t really care about a baseball coaching search.

People care about LSU baseball ... a lot. And they certainly have passionate opinions about it.
