I think a better DC could have gotten better production out our defensive roster. You can’t understate just how disappointing this defense has been

There’s no “coasting” to a NC.
Even the 2019 team had their moments.
Takes a combination of great play on both sides of the ball, no ST meltdowns, some breaks along the way, & great coaching.

No indeed not. We don’t coast to anything, except maybe a West Championship. We would still have to beat Georgia to get to the playoffs.

Did you feel threatened during any game in 2019? Even Bama, AU, and Texas scored late to make the final score closer. LSU was up 46-34 (Bama), 23-13 (AU), and 45-31 (Texas) LATE in those games. I personally never felt threatened to lose any of those games.

We were up 33-13 against Bama at halftime. Bama cut that lead to 39-34 with ~5 minutes left to play. So at that point they got it to a one-score game and had outscored us 21-6 in the second half.
We responded with a 4 minute TD drive but if you weren’t nervous when Bama cut it to a one-score lead, you are probably in the minority.
Texas was also a one-score game with ~4 minutes left to play. But that was a different feeling because we had been going up and down the field all night.

Not playing the best players for some reason. Wiggins , Weeks , Womack and others hardly if ever see the field. These guys may hit the portal and I hope not. If they do we are in deep deep shite
