mm & why did she come to LSU from A&M?
I do not disagree with you that he deserves credit for signing off and hiring Jay Johnson. But Woodward did want Sully and the BOS rejected it...and Stephanie Rempe did push for Jay so its not like Jay was the one who Woodward wanted. Again, he still deserves credit for it but lets not be dishonest in how that situation actually played out.

Thanks for confirming you know zero about LSU athletics.
Thanks for confirming why you have not gotten a better “media” job.

so SW went rogue and didn't follow the directions of the BOS when making an offer to BK to lure him from ND?
LOL no. This board just needs a scapegoat and Woodward is an easy target now that he's gone. Everything the AD does has to be approved by the BOS, especially something like that contract.

What makes you think I need a "better" job? Insecure much

A “man” with low expectations.
Might want to get your t levels checked.

Not really!! Kevin O Sullivan is who he wanted.

Woody and the BOS are responsible for the price tag on getting Kelly out.
But Landry is responsible for the circus and long lasting damage to the LSU brand in his inept handling of this fiasco.
As of now it appears that the greater, longer lasting damage is self inflicted by Jeff Landry, not Woodward. And that's before we know how badly he has crippled our efforts to hire a top HC.

Actually LSU inadvertently admitted none of this is on Woodward.
If he didn't have the authority to fire him, and the Board is ultimately responsible for that...
Then he didn't have authority to hire him or give him a large contract without the Board.

There’s blame to go around for everyone involved. BK for being a lazy arse and not putting his heart and soul into this job. Woodward for giving out a ridiculous contract to a 60 year old coach who had serious questions about his coaching ability in big games from his previous school. Landry for nuking his future political career by sabotaging the golden goose in this state which is LSU football.

So that makes up for the abject failure that is the football program? What a supremely stupid remark. Scott Woodward has helped to set this place back years. The only thing about Ausberry being AD now is that the boosters are in charge of the hire and Ausberry will rubber stamp it. For my money, he is no better than Woodward.
Is there any question that Burger King saw this as his retirement and had not the slightest inclination to build something at LSU? Yes, it is all on that corpulent and disgusting Scott Woodward.

I forgot that SW made the hire and offered the contract without BOS, Booster approval.

IDK….everyone in power saw how Woodward handled the Jimbo contract. Shame on us.
He signed an NC-winning coach to a 10 year, $75m deal.
What's so bad about that?

Lol
Not at all
Woodward did what was requested and approved by all on the chain of command
The firing was done by little lying Landry and he made that real clear. Heck, by the time kelly got fired by Landry, Woodward saw the headlights coming his way so he wasn’t about be cooperative with knee jerk Landry.
Landry screwed this up beyond belief and he’s a friggin attorney!

What makes you think he was fully responsible for what Kelly got paid?
I suppose, if he is not responsible, why do we need an AD. Let a Secretary type up the contracts, selected by the BOS, and save his Salary.

The BOS also responsible for approving the contract after the hire, including the buyout. Governor forced this firing. This is on him.

It doesn’t pay for Baseball. Like I said, Baseball pays for itself.

It lost $2.1 million in 2022-2023. It lost $1.9 million in the fiscal year 2024, bringing in $8.02 million and costing $9.9 million.
