I cannot believe the SEC after the last two weeks and their apparent furor at networks badmouthing them would allow the LSU Alabama game to be officiated by a referee from the state of Alabama. WTF.
Oh wait, yes I can. Because they're completely tone deaf and their arrogance is out of control.
ETA: Apparently he's the one who manages all of the Alabama players/recruits mutual funds once they sign with the team.

stock broker in Birmingham. Maybe if a lot of people with 225,504,etc area codes call him to invest with him he'll go easy on us.

This is how a real SEC commissioner runs a conference. I always liked Mike Slive. It always seemed every decision he made was for the good of the conference. Unlike the idiot in there now. This quote was from 2009 about the officiating crew that will be calling the game Saturday night
