If you believe Hanigriff, he said the buyout amount was meant for Herman. The name and base salary were hastily changed for Orgeron, but the rest of the contract was the same.

On what rational basis do you base your opinion though? It's OK that you feel that way, but don't appeal to relativism and act like your opinion is just as rational as those who think that he will not be successful.

This is the biggest problem with the Orgeron hire. Because of where he’s from, his sycophants will never admit that the experiment is over. If they lose 4+ games again this year, it’ll be “but look at that schedule, 2019 recruiting class is gonna bring us back,” etc, etc.
There’s no end to the excuses they’ll make for O. Hell, I’ve already seen multiple posters saying 8-4 this year would actually be a good season. SMDH
