I didn't say I know he will. I said that I'm confident that he will and he called games in 2016. He did a helluva job at it too.

not against the defenses with a pulse. Plus it was Cameron’s system. Ensminger made Jason Campbell look terrible at auburn. When he was forced out Campbell led auburn to an undefeated season.

If anything, I have more concerns about Orgeron now.

I thought he'd be able to competently run Miles' system (not the single game or season stuff, the actual ongoing program) for awhile, until it began breaking down and he had to fix things. My concern was that he wasn't going to be able to keep it going smoothly once that happened.

Instead, we've already slipped pretty significantly in recruiting, we needed to throw the bank at Aranda to preserve the defense (Aranda's getting paid more than LOTS of HC's), and the offensive side (the part we were mad at Miles about) has been, if anything, even more disorganized. After a year and a half, we've promoted a TE coach who said he'd do it but didn't want it permanently, paid a lot to bring in an outside guy, ran that guy off and re-promoted the same unwilling TE coach. We've bumbled the development of a promising young QB, threw so many systems at the current players that they don't know the playbook, and now we've brought in a grad transfer to leapfrog past the guys who had come in out of highschool. Sure, Burrow might pan out, but we've likely wasted Brennan and Narcisse in the process.

And this is only technically "year 2" we're going into. We haven't had a shred of stability since O took over. That needs to change, before this program goes down the drain Tennessee style.

Solid post.

Calling games and building and implementing ate different things, but I sure hope you're right. As justice said, he didn't do as well against the tougher defenses. Those records were because of Fournette and Guice running all over awful defenses.

If E was more than just mediocre, why hadn't he been a OC in twenty years? You think he didn't want to double his pay? As for as 2016, LSU ran up the score on poor defenses and did little against the better ones. Also if you recall, O kept his starters in until late in the forth even being up by 4-5 TDs

I hope E smashes the SEC and O goes undefeated. Problem is, neither one of them has showed an ability to be any more than average to bad. Which is pretty much what LSU was in 2017.

No one wants to bash Ensminger.

But if Bama or Aub or A&M hired an OC who hadn’t been an full time OC this century every one on here would be laughing.

Not that any HC with a clue would hire an OC who hasn’t been an OC in such a long time.

If you are honest, it’s a ludicrous hire.

Then again so was O.

Nevertheless I hope it works.

Jesus Christ

I’m gonna go out in a limb and say I think the reason folks don’t like him is because, you know, his record as a permanent HC

Just a thought

ITs real effin simple. If he goes 9-3 - 11-1ish I think he’s done well considering our schedule. 6-6 or 7-5 I want him fired quickly. All this shite until then is just a bunch of peacocks strutting around acting like they know what’s going to happen!

You really have a thing about wanting to ban people, Susan. Why are you so sensitive?

Exactly!

We can think that and still want it to work for the best for LSU.`

O is the biggest reach by an AD that I have ever seen in power 5 football and E is not far behind. Everyone in the SEC knows that.

The signature text under each post. You can't see it if you're on your phone. Only computer or tablet I believe.
