I would like to see a return to a modified two-QB system. Start Daniels and let him play the first two series, then put in Nuss for a series or two to mix things up.

This practice worked well back in the old days for Arnsparger with Hodson and Mickey Guidry, and earlier for McClendon with Ensminger and Woodley. I don't know if Kelly is flexible enough to consider it, however.

6 attempts is not "slinging it!"

I think a lot of people underestimate just how special Daniels is a runner. He’s not just a regular dual threat, he is an amazing runner.

I think people, the coaches included, overestimate his running ability's impact on games. When I think of amazing runners, I think of Michael Vick, Lamar Jackson, Vince Young, Tim Tebow, etc. Those guys could all take over games and frequently generate explosive plays. Whether it's Daniels himself or the system he's in, we haven't seen that.

Daniels’ best compared to the others on your list in their biggest rushing years.

Daniels 885 yards 11 TDs
Tebow 920 yards 14 TDs
M Vick 686 yards 9 TDs
Jackson 1601 yards 18 TDs
V Young 1079 yards 14 TDs

none of us who are fine with JD starting are going to try to argue he is the better “passer”. He isn’t.

If you're counting turnovers as a completely unrelated category then sure. But every coach loves the guy who takes care of the football. And more snaps can only help Niss in that area. But the real point of contention is the moron chorus who insist that JD is Jordan Jefferson/Brandon Harris level bad when he's actually playing very well and they're just too dumb to see it. That's not every single critic but there are enough to pop up in every thread.

Thomas still should have caught it, but that was a terrible pass.

If he should have caught it then it wasn’t a terrible pass.

I honestly think people see what they want to see. Unfortunately, the playbook wasn’t open for nuss for very much time. But to say seeing him throw it a handful of times was a breath of fresh air is a bit of a stretch don’t you think?

bullshite. It was a wide open receiver with no one in coverage. A good pass, not even a great pass, was an easy touchdown. JD threw it so short that the defender had time to get close and Thomas had to reach way down and behind him as he moved the other way. It was pretty much the worst pass you could throw and still have it be catchable. That was a terrible pass. Yes, he could have found a way to make it worse, but not by much.
