Alleva always waits until the end of the season to evaluate coaches.

Always been his policy.

Everything else was media bullshite, probably fed by a couple disgruntled boosters.

No "sources", just an objective reading of the situation.

Correct. The hit our recruiting class took was secondary to immature actions of boosters, not Alleva.

Then he is a fricking idiot and should be fired. Not saying anything caused irreparable harm to the program.

I had info from a bigwig who went to the last game on the plane with the team that no decisions or announcements would be made til after the game. I was told that last Sunday. It was true.

probably.

But the real harm was the boosters with the sandy vajay-jays.

And it ain't close.

They should be distanced from the program somehow to limit their ability to cause further harm.

This is what I think happened. I think the Fisher fiasco was a lie the whole time.

So was this all a ploy to force him to change?

What kind of evaluation was conducted between the end of the game and Alleva's statement?

How in depth could it have been.

What did he learn since refusing comment on the Gridiron Club report til his statement?

Since SEC schools don't pay to play on another, we can wait until they rotate in on the schedule like every other east school besides Florida.

I dunno.

That's his policy, though

Scott Rabalais did not write an article like that without info directly from within the Athletic Department. His sources would not have been a couple of unhappy boosters.

If you don't think the info came from Alleva or someone with orders from Alleva, i don't know what to tell you. The story got out because they wanted it out. And the silence for the past 2 weeks tells you everything you need to know. My guess is the deal for Fisher fell through and Alleva was left to look like an arse and declare support for Miles.

I'll admit to not being a Miles supporter but damn it's tough to not like the guy.Maybe if he breaks up with his buddies on staff things may get better.

All the talking heads on 104.5 STRONGLY suggested it was Alleva who put Rabalais up to get the story going.

Fisher deal fell through mid day. Was supposedly a done deal but there was no Plan B. Alleva was biting his tongue while making the announcement because he's wanted Les gone since last year. He choked.

Maybe they will force Les to really get his nose out of the offense (something he was supposed to have already done).

Spent the day with someone getting information from the inside. Les is fortunate that the deal fell through, because if Alleva did have a backup, he would be unemployed today.
